• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks for the info. I will check them out. After checking other sources I have just about decided to wait on the 2011s to get what I want which is the manual shift. Those are in short supply for the 2010. Thanks, WPS

Thanks Scotty, Can the trailer be used with the manual shift? I'm asking because I saw a post where the shifting program of the auto-shift is changed when towing. I currently ride a vstrom and enjoy the shifting so was planning on a manual RT/RT-S. Any changes announced for the 2011s? Thanks, Pat

A beautiful Spyder! They can still order Spyders, right or are they waiting on the 2011s? One more question, in looking at the post seems like most RT owners have the SE semi automatic unit. Is there a problem with the manual shift? I assume the recall only applies to the SE? Thanks for the...

    RT and MSRP

I posted this on another board but thought I would try her also. I first looked at the RT and RT-S when they were first released. At the time, the dealers in Georgia had no info but could order one but were not willing to deal below msrp. Is this still the case? Are people paying full msrp for...

    RT Pricing

For the one quote I did receive it was msrp plus 300 doc fee plus 1300 setup plus tax and tag. Total was $28500 for the rt-s. WPS

Congratulations! I have contacted 3 different dealers to try and pre-order and have not heard back from a single one. I did get a price from one but he was unsure on taking an order. WPS

    RT Pricing

Well actually I was quoted $28500 out the door for the rt-s. I think msrp is 24500 or 24900. WPS

    First look at the RT

As one in the market for an rt, I'm hanging on every word and photo. Thanks for posting! WPS:2thumbs:

That's what I'm pretty much finding out. The rt-s looks like out the door will be close to $4000 more then msrp. I did contact a dealer in Alabama that is checking a few things out and may be able to do something but we'll see. Thanks for the help, WPS

    RT Pricing

Ok, thanks for the replies. Guess I was being naive to think there may be a discount off of msrp. The dealer in Florida wrote again to say when the spyders first came out many dealers were adding $1500 over msrp. He did not do that but apprently does charge a $1300 set up which seem high to me...

    RT Pricing

As a followup to my own question, the dealer wrote back to say that was a quote on the rt-s not the base model and included a $300 doc fee and a $1300 prep/setup fee. No discount off of msrp. Is that normal on the spyders? Pat

Hello, I new to the group. Been researching Spyders for a couple of months and rode a 2009 spyder last week at a Can Am demo in Columbus, Ga and really liked it. I've decided to take the plunge. I called 3 different dealers today (I'm in Georgia, 2 were in Ga and 1 in Florida)to get some...
