After 1-1/2 weeks of RAIN, I finally got a nice & dry 100 mile ride up CA Hwy 36. There's still some sections that are gravel and one lane in the area of the slides, but still a good ride.
I saw this Ratbike on my travels:

Full disclosure; I love Ratbikes. Actually, I love all bikes, but Rats are my fav.

Got an XM Radio issue fixed (bad receiver) and then enjoyed the hard winter weather in SoCal (85°) with a ride to the beach, a little reading, and enjoying the scenery. On the way home, broke 1000 miles.
Getting used to the bike and really enjoying the change the BajaRon Ultimate sway bar makes with the handling.

That is the latest model Corbin.I like rat bikes too, but that steel seat would have to go.
I'm a holdout and throwback. I'm running a Zumo 665 that has been upgraded by the Palm Dr. with expanded RAM so that it will run the latest maps (I do have to side load them). I have spares - additional 665s (also upgraded) and a pair of additional GXM-30A and GXM-40 antenna (actually, these are the actual XM radio receivers), in addition to the one that is bad and a couple of wiring harnesses and motorcycle mounts/cradles. I still run a 660 on my Norge.I didn't know anybody was still using XM hardware, I had one of the first handheld portable unis but I gave up on them after the merger with Sirius. There was a lack of hardware and very few new units available that appealed to me. Once streaming options were available on my phone, I ditched XM and never looked back. I still have a 512 Gb card loaded with music for no coverage areas but that is few and far between now (mountain valleys in the middle of PA.).
