"
21 sport..."???

Is that a typo, and meant to be 2012? Or maybe 2010??
I ask, cos given that this thread has been started in the
GS/RS - Sport section, and the GS/RS Spyders were really only around from 2007/8 until 2015/16, when the last of the V-twins were sold, altho the 1330 RT's hit the streets in 2014 and the F3's effectively replaced the RS's from 2015, then your '
21 sport' bit is a mite confusing, especially since the majority of your recent previous posts have largely been about 20 or 21 F3's??
(and we can't go by anything in your sig line, cos there's nothing there, despite this:

)
Either way, if it's a V-twin, there's an EVAP Cannister hanging off the fuel system that was a little problematic, especially if the gas tank was ever over-filled and liquid gas ended up in the charcoal cannister, and many of that vintage Spyders got various different bypass or re-routed 'cannisterectomy' jobs done on them, often with drains/overflows that were routed back that way. So it might be worthwhile you checking the flavour of a drop of that liquid, and if a tiny drop on your tongue tastes more like gas than coolant or even plain water, you might want to
Search (top right corner of the page) on things like '
Cannister', '
cannisterectomy', or maybe '
evap cannister' with the '
Search titles only' box checked and have a read. And if it's
NOT a V-twin you're talking about, but maybe a 20 or 21
F3 Sport and this thread is just in the wrong section, then it's really not likely to be the EVAP Cannister...
Other than that, over the years, I have seen various bike seats that were soaked right thru in rain &/or other 'drowning' type events that just leaked water out of the seat's underlying foam for anything up to
days after said drowning event, making for a very uncomfortable ride,
if the bike was still up to riding! Maybe your wife's seat was just completely soaked and the foam was slowly letting all the excess drip/run out??
