• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Engine Oil - What Amsoil products are you using?

If it does not have the MA2 JASO rating. Do not use it in a Spyder of any kind. Regardless of what other attributes the lubricant may have. This will definitely help to keep you out of trouble. It can get confusing. But don't let that stop you from finding a superior, and many times less expensive, oil. A little research can go a long way.

Anecdotal testimonies are fine. They can lead you in the right direction. But don't ever stop there. Take a look under the hood, so to speak, so that you know what you're doing.
The Shell T6 Rotella 5W-40 doesn't have the JASO MA2 rating actually printed on the container but it is listed in the specification sheet as JASO MA/MA2 compliant. The T6 Multi Vehicle Rotella is not suitable however. So sometimes looking up the oil's specification sheet can shed more light on the full list of things it is compliant for.

That's not to suggest that Amsoil is, or is not, a more suitable oil.

Tried Amsoil 5w40 metric m/c oil on my last run. Due to the 5w40 shear factor, I'll stick with 10w40 weight (actually running leftover 10w50 this run).

This is interesting, Troop. What kind of difference did you see between these 2 viscosities?
