• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Taking a trip to windshield-land - what do you recommend?

That was my point, went from one machine to another with no intervention at all. I remember now that years ago UPS was the worst for charging outrageous fees for nothing. It's still the same apparently.
Here's a screen shot of the invoice from UPS, very wierd layout as it looks like you'd add up all the lines for a total, the first two (one charge actually) were expected, the goobermint getting their share for doing all they do LOLO. The last three (one total) were all UPS. If I didn't pay it online when I got the invoice there'd be an additional charge for paying at the door when it was delivered.

Then... about a week ago I get the additional bill from UPS, Canadian GST which I expected was CAN $63 and good ole UPS added their 'brokerage' fees of CAN $86 plus the $13 GST added to their fees. There was no duty, as motorcycle parts are exempt, but the additional $100 for UPS was ridiculous for handing it from one hand to the other.
But... the windshield made quite a difference, I can now wear my skid lid as the wind noise is nowhere as bad with the short windshield nor is the buffeting.

I used UPS once for a delivery; got bit by the extra brokerage fees and now use USPS for a normal processing fee and don't have to pay GST on the extra UPS brokerage fees.:mad: USPS does take a week or more from pickup to delivery but I am not in that big a hurry.

That's what I used to use but it's been quite awhile since I've gotten anything out of the US and I couldn't remember when they said UPS which one was the rip off....now I know LOL.
