• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New Owner of SpyderLovers.com 02-19-2026

I just now read this, having been absent from SL for over 3 years for medical and other issues of my own (which pale in comparison to what you described in the attachment). I knew you were having some struggles back then, but I thought they were just a temporary setback for you. I had no idea...

Service Shock - just about had a heart attack at the bill!

I admire your can-do spirit, and think it comes from being ex-Navy. It does for me, anyway. Vet or not, I think local owners helping each other out is the way to go. At one time there was an effort on SL to try to organize groups like that. It's particularly needed out here in the...

    Any electricians out there?

Does anyone know what happened to Mike? I haven't been on the forum since before he passed away (same with ARTraveler). I'll miss them both.

28k Service - I must rant about my experience

Amen on that. My local dealer dropped Spyders altogether as not worth the bother. The nearest dealer is now 45 miles away. "Drop it off and we'll get to it whenever" is standard practice for motorsports dealers and completely unacceptable for me for a number of reasons. Combine that with iffy...

Have the new Tariffs increased Spyder & Ryker prices?

Any update to this? I haven't been in the market for parts for several years now, but soon will be. They were pricey enough before 3 years of inflation and now the tariffs...

Finally gonna finish my 48 State tour!

You've inspired me to consider planning my own long-deferred bucket trip touring as much of the US and Canada as I can get to from where I'm located in northern Utah. I'm not getting any younger, and travel isn't getting any cheaper! I have a Lees-Ure Lite trailer that is nicely set up with...

HowTo: I made a dashboard for my RT accessories.

Mostly, the plate is resting on the Spyder's cowl, on supports made from aluminum and foam. What keeps it in place are the long bolts with an acorn nut on top that are threaded into the cowl's security bolt threads. -

What's the BEST battery for a 2020 RT Ltd?

Whichever one makes you happy, but without more info, how can we know? I hate ambiguous "what is the best..." questions. It varies with the situation and individual parameters.
