• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question for all, and BRP - why is there not a dip stick mark for the correct oil level in a cold Spyder engine?

Same reason have to pause mode button & factory tires are, well… you will find out. Welcome congrats

Just an observation but I’ve personally kicked & tripped on more ⚠️wet floor signs, than have actually slipped on wet floors

Almost as offensive as the “exclusive offers & similar mail still receiving after mine passed. ⚡️ advertising has no shame, apparently not any rule enforcement either, like spam calls at inappropriate hours.

Engine Trouble - intermittently won't start! Any ideas on what to look for?

Battery maybe not all of it, but definitely sounds like it's a part of it. Additional to the fuel filter, check out the vac lines on the 998 twins & the evap canister. It wouldn’t hurt to check the spark plugs for fouling & air filter for crud too. Go ahead & get a full tune up checklist for...

Anyone going back and forth from their Spyder to a motorcycle?

Both & more if I have the space in the stable (garage). Additionally, the MPG might mess with you. Double check the gauge & trip meters accordingly. Have done & heard more comments bout trying to grab the clutch (or front brake) that ain’t there & having a moment of sorts. Don’t necessarily...

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this?

Had a very mysterious oil leak similar to that, slowly increasing till it was enough to locate. A Seal in the shifter of SE5 would leak, but it leaked into shifter boot and wouldn’t leak till ryding uphill or in a certain gear position to compress the boot & any that leaked would spray/drip...

My 2012 Spyder RT turns over once then resets

Weak or dead batteries are a drain on the jump vehicle/pack other battery yes. The good is trying to supply/charge the weaker & cutting available power needed to start. Just the way power works.

Trailering the Spyder - could use some tips on fastening it down?

If the ramp looks too steep, I'd advise backing up to a curb so the trailer is lower in the street & the ramps are on curb, a good 2 inches or so higher. Disconnecting & loading could do multiple bad things - Rolling into the vehicle; tipping & slamming it back down like a teeter-tottering...
