• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another Rear Wheel Bearing question..... The BIG FUNKY NUT!

Hey all, I am getting ready to have my rear wheel replaced and wanted to remove and replace all 3 rear bearings and seals. Not sure when the last they were checked or replaced from previous owners, so figured now would be a great start with 52k miles on it. I have watched a few Youtube videos...

    Full Helmet Hate It Riding.

As much as I like the look of full faced helmets, I personally cannot stand wearing anything over my ears, it feels like confinement. I am not a hat wearing individual. So I opted for a 1/2 helmet. I like the openess, the unobscured view, and ability to hear my surroundings clearly. I have no...

    Squealing front brake pads

I too, had the squealing brake pads. And this method is what cured them totally.

Grumbling Noise When Coming to a Stop

I recently had the same situation as yourself. Same noise, same area of location, but mine created more of a vibration that reverberated throughout the plastic, and a little drag noise in front of the left foot peg area. After reading about all these sprocket issues I decided to take off the...

    Bleeding Brake fluid output ?

Update: Thanks for the suggestion. I did go out and do as you suggested for both sides and then re-bled again. I thought I felt a little bit of resistance in the right hand bleeder. Pedal even felt a bit more stiffer too. Makes me wonder if there is some obstruction, corrosion, etc., in the...

    Bleeding Brake fluid output ?

That is a great thought! Thank you! Never thought of this considering they have rubber caps. But even then its possible they can accumulate crud, as you suggested, and hinder good flow. On my to-do list.

    Bleeding Brake fluid output ?

Thanks Bert. I like that we are on the same wave lengths here. Before changing my Rotors and Brakes I did have a minute brake scraping. That's what lead me to think I had warped rotors. I checked both rotors using the flat table top glass method, so I know they were warped a bit at that point...

    Bleeding Brake fluid output ?

I'm sure they do, but I don't mind doing it the old fashioned way. It really takes no time at all IMO. Gives me time to also check other components as well.

    Bleeding Brake fluid output ?

Morning All, I just recently changed Rotors and Brakes and bled the brakes. Super easy task! All went well, braking is great. My question is.....from seeing videos of others brake bleeding, and from my own experience of bleeding my auto brakes in the past, I am wondering why I'm not getting...

    BRAND NEW Tire

Perfect! I like those numbers better. :ohyea: A great way to finish out this :riding: season and start next season with all new shoes! Now that I've got a couple thousand riding miles under my belt, I am planning a couple longer distance trips next year. Love my :f_spider:

    BRAND NEW Tire

Thanks, Mike! I went out and checked as well. I am sitting right at 4/32 nds tread depth. I'll keep 'em rolling for a few hundred more glorious miles! :2thumbs: Thanks again.

    BRAND NEW Tire

Hey Mike, what is the actual recommended depth measurement for replacing the rear tire? I bought a new rear tire waiting to be changed out, but not down to tread indicators yet, but pretty close. I was thinking of replacing it asap, but if I can wait til riding season here is over I will. TIA.

No more going in frunk to turn phone back on after stops

:agree: I do have an aftermarket 12 volt adapter plug installed beneath my right side console speaker. A handy and easily accessible location which basically suggests it was placed there by previous owners for charging their phones, etc. I'm not sure of any in the Frunk. So as curiosity would...

    Aux Cord

My 2014 RTS didn't come with any Aux Cord either, therefore I had to purchase one. I also purchased a TaoTronics 5.0 Bluetooth Transmitter / Receiver. The pair works great together, and super easy to pair them together. The Aux Cord you have listed above ( I put in Bold ) is the correct Aux...

Front Rotors got a deep cleaning.

Thanks Mikey. :agree: I was all set to contact him, if I had to replace them. Got him on speed dial now. 👍

Front Rotors got a deep cleaning.

What I thought was the possibility of the onset of a warped rotor, with it's swishing noise ( that's how I describe it ), was just the need of a deep cleaning of the years of brake dust caked on the front rotors. I was already preparing myself to purchase new rotors before my cleaning escapade...

New to me Spyder RT - what would you folks consider comfort/safety upgrades?

:agree: Of all the add-ons, this is definitely one of the BEST!

Hate putting air in rear tire.....Hate it.

:agree: Received mine in the mail today. So out to the garage I went. Checked the Spyder, the Riding Mower and the 2 wheel bikes. Love this item. Makes airing that rear tire a breeze now, other than getting down on the floor. :roflblack: You're right, I should have bought one of these years ago...
