• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need suggestions for record keeping software

I'm a big fan of using Excel like a couple of others suggested. It is an incredibly versatile tool that is almost unlimited in what you can do with it. I use it to track mileage and maintenance on my stable of 4 BMWs, 2 Hondas and the Spyder. I also have an extensive sheet that I track my...

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

Installed Lamonster belt tensioner. It doesn't go nearly as smoothly as the video I watched would have you believe. Knowing there was more than ample amounts of yellow lock-tite on the OEM bolts would have helped because I would have broken out the mini torch a lot sooner.

Hankook GT H436 tires in 215/55R15 available at Walmart

I put Hankooks all the way around in July. Will post up my take on them as I see things to note. So far so good running the pressures recommended by Blueknight and a few others. Handling is great and have not been unable to get any slippage on the rear tire at 205/60. I'll take a closer look...

    Google maps has failed me.

I'm curious why you would even need GPS or Google if you take the same route every Tuesday. Why bother to even turn either one on? :dontknow:

What Helmet Liners do you wear?

THIS; because my modular helmet provides ample insulation in the winter and has ample ventilation for my "almost" bald head in the summer. :2thumbs: I started wearing a thin do rag" when I bought the previous helmet just to keep it cleaner than other helmets in the past. I change to a clean one...

Anyone try to add these lights?

    Appreciate the insights nonetheless. :thumbup::thumbup:

What was BRP Thinking on the 2022 models and placement of the brake pedal?

And if they made them for those 6' and more, they would eliminate just as many. I'm 5'4" with a 27" inseam an sat on a '22 model about a week ago. I had to move all the way forward until the boys were uncomfortable in order to just barely use the brake pedal. I would definitely have to make...

Anyone try to add these lights?

Those were on our 2014 RT-L when we purchased it used a few years ago. For those who have dug down to the bulbs on them, what type are they and how difficult would it be to replace them with something brighter? I've found some 8000lumen LEDs that are pretty small (2.25" diameter). I'm also...

Any ideas on how to fix a Broken Hinge on a 2016 RT's R/H Pannier?

Pictures would help us help you.

What was BRP Thinking on the 2022 models and placement of the brake pedal?

I was in our local dealership Saturday and had pretty much the same experience. Don't you know engineers walk on water and you should not question their designs--that's according to them anyway.

Can I raise the passenger seat up on 2016 F3t

From having built several motorcycle seats over the past 20 years, I can tell you Arma Flex insulation is one of the best choices for building seats. It can be found in 3' x 4' sheets at HVAC supply houses and costs around $60/sheet for the 1" thick here where I live. It is also available in 2"...

What's the purpose of "SpyderLover Rider Map Discussions"?

I realise it's been three years since I started this thread, so I visited the SpyderRyders map and there does not seem to be a very wide network there. That said, here is what I just shared on a motorcycle page I frequently visit in the hopes of adding to the nearly 51,000 members there. I am...

    Can-Am all-electric Motorcycles grand reveal

When they get them to a 300-mile range with 15-minute full recharge and the infrastructure to support all the other electrical requirements across the entire country, I might think about an electric Spyder. As for now, I'm relatively satisfied with my 175-mile range and 10-minute refills to be...

How do you get GPS directions to come over RTL Speakers?

I would do it by taping my old school GPS over the top of the speakers. ;)

MPG display issue ?. or i could be just an idiot.

The only reliable fuel mileage calculations are those you do manually making sure you fill as close as possible to the same level each time.

And that's why I don't trust manufacturers recommendations!

Hope you are not trusting the engineers who designed the cosmetics; like the black hole trunks on the pre-2020 models. If they are the same ones who wrote the maintenance specs they should not be allowed to reproduce. Our society is getting dumb enough on its own.

Stalling when cold--goes away after warm up??????

Is that something that goes away once the engine is warmed up? Mine operates perfectly after only a couple of miles and doesn't seem to matter if the tank is full or nearly empty.

Got any ideas on where to Hide a key?

This whole thread seems me to be much ado about nothing. Why not just keep a spare in the pocket of your riding gear (jacket, pants) or in what-ever pants you ride in be it jeans or safety gear. I really see no sense or need to hide one on the Spyder itself.

Stalling when cold--goes away after warm up??????

Our 2014 RT L has been stalling (stuttering) some when first trying to take off from a stop. The condition goes away after a couple of miles warm up and two or three stops & starts. I was reading some other posts about oil level and made sure it was correct per procedure describe in the...
