• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there a Warranty Transfer Fee?

That's what I thought. I was pretty sure the warranty was connected to the vehicle and not the person. The question came up when someone in my group mentioned they had seen a For Sale item on a Spyder and the seller was asking for a forty dollar warranty transfer fee. I took the position the...

Is there a Warranty Transfer Fee?

A question came up in a discussion the other day about whether or not BRP charges a fee to transfer a warranty from one owner to the next. Some said only if it's an extended warranty, others said it makes no difference. What's the consensus here?

The frequent lament of "they said my Spyder was not a real motorcycle!"

With the exception of lane splitting, I can’t think of a single advantage a two wheeled bike has over a Spyder. On the other hand I can think of several advantages a Spyder has over a two wheeled bike.

The frequent lament of "they said my Spyder was not a real motorcycle!"

I just look at it for what it is. That persons opinion. And an opinion is nothing more then a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge. Or in other words an opinion is a judgment, viewpoint, or statement that is not conclusive, rather than facts, which...

    A ride to Billy Burgers

This place was pretty small. But to their advantage they are right off the highway. So they were doing a pretty booming business, at least while I was there. Customers were backed up out the door. They did have a good amount of outdoor seating which on this day was the preferred dining option. I...

    A ride to Billy Burgers

Yesterday was such a beautiful day I decided to take a little ride. Temps was in the mid 70's, not a cloud in the sky and a slight breeze. Ended up in the small town of Wilbur WA. Found a cool little burger joint called Billy's Burgers right around lunch time. Enjoyed a delicious Billy Burger...

    The bags of life

When you start out in life you have two bags. One bag is filled with luck. The other bag is an empty bag of experience. The end game is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

Can-Am Academy - how it is?

Maybe some day I'll be lucky enough to join you on a ride around Slovakia but mobility issues don't make that possible at this time. But I do love your videos, your country truly looks amazing.

Why do I need to hold the Fog Light switch to keep them on?

OK guys, thanks for all the input. I just realized I had a forehead slap moment and was confusing the flash high beam button on the handlebar with the fog light button above the glove box. I'm back on track now.......:opps::opps:

Why do I need to hold the Fog Light switch to keep them on?

When I start my Spyder the low beams are like the default setting. To increase my visibility/presence I can turn on the high beams. But if I want to use the fog lights I have to manually hold down the fog light switch. If I release pressure on the switch the fog lights go out. Is that they way...

This is convenient - Will Can-Am adopt it? :(

I'll reserve comment until I see an actual phot and not an artists rendition of what it might look like. But as of now, not a big fan of separate handle bars for each wheel.

Supermarkets requesting your phone number at check out

My landline is used exclusively for internet access. We use our cell phones for all telephonic activity. So if I'm asked for my phone number I giving them my landline number knowing should anyone call, day or night, 24/7/365, all they are going to get is a busy signal.
