• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dynamic Driving Light Kit - Hooking to Hi Beams Question - 2019 RTL

Thanks Peter, I have tested the reversing lights in the trailer and they work, and I've wired the circuit to my bypass relay. I just wasn't sure where to tap the reversing light circuit to get the signal.

Dynamic Driving Light Kit - Hooking to Hi Beams Question - 2019 RTL

This is what I am aware of. Some systems monitor the voltage/current to determine if there is a fault. This has existed in servers and some Pc's since the 90'S where they sense the speed, voltage and current draw so that if there is any variation they report a fault. I have also wondered if...

Dynamic Driving Light Kit - Hooking to Hi Beams Question - 2019 RTL

Westerns at Penrith. I saw merit in what he was saying. There was also an ex Fraser's mechanic living here in town with a '14RT - he also felt the canbus would have an issue. Then an Auto Electrician I spoke to at a function about using different relays felt I would invite problems and...

Dynamic Driving Light Kit - Hooking to Hi Beams Question - 2019 RTL

That's correct, I can switch them on or off independant of Hi/Lo mode. As mentioned its not what I wanted but the dealership stated that many issues arise when the lighting circuit is tapped for a signal for a relay. I provided a solid state relay instead of a mechanical one and they still...

    That sounds like it.

Do I really need a GPS?

Hi Pete, No directions being given. We knew we'd have no phone signal - not even GPRS. We'd been using our phones to travel to get to some of the properties we'd frequented years ago. We found at one point none of us had GPS functionality. We'd left the Pilliga area and took some back roads...

Dynamic Driving Light Kit - Hooking to Hi Beams Question - 2019 RTL

I am in Australia. This is interesting. The Can-Am dealership where I have mine serviced installed the electrics for my extra lights. They installed the switch I provided (A waterproof Can-Am clone I bought/installed myself). They chose to not connect to the lighting circuit at all - mine...

Do I really need a GPS?

Hi Pete, That's interesting about the 3 antennas? A group of us were in the country near Wee Waa about 4 months ago with a mix of Androids and iPhones. None of us had coverage. I agree with other comments, I think its only a matter of time before GPS units are redundant. I've often wished...

Do I really need a GPS?

I'm not sure how remote you travel, here in Australia once you leave the areas with Phone coverage not all the smartphones are able to use their location services. Some rely on multiple Cell towers to transmit their location and thus allowing the phone to calculate its location. I've only...

Sprocket Recall - What's Wrong With BRP's Logistics?

I checked earlier this week with our largest dealership, and was told March April maybe. This is one thing that really tests my loyalty to the brand. They've known about it for quite a few years now so there is no excuse. If BRP gave "two forks" about their customers they'd be onto this asap.

17RTL Top Box Strut - Re-gas or replace

I've read thru the assorted posts about the option to re-gas the struts on the Spyder. Is the quality of the OEM strut such that re-gassing is worthwhile, or in your opinion, am I better to go aftermarket (if the OEM strut is junk I am happy to send it to the bin)? What has been the lifespan of...

What's the Best way to fix this tire?

The most dangerous place on earth for me.

Reading your story I thought you'd been in a bike/car/truck/plane crash. Thanks also for the reminder that I take too many things for granted. Get well soon and get back amongst it.
