• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where is the best spot for Jack placement?

I didn't realize you can rotate the rear wheel by hand; I thought the belt would make it difficult. Still, that adds a measure of difficulty to checking the air pressure. I stand by my method as being the simplest, easiest and quickest, even though getting up and down is a bit difficult for me.

    My Blind Spot Mirror

Here's 2 threads on blind spot mirrors. I purchased blind spot mirrors from Amazon for about $6, which eliminate the blind spot. https://www.spyderlovers.com/threads/to-choose-a-blind-spot-mirror-or-a-blind-spot-detector-or-both.156953/...

Where is the best spot for Jack placement?

Seems to be a lot of work to check the air pressure. Get the jack, position it properly, get 2X4's position correctly, jack the bike up, get down on floor to get to valve, Oh No, it's not in the position, lower bike and redo everything. Once a month I check tire pressure takes all of 15...

Anyone tried a Ramp for the rear wheel to make adding air easier?

I agree, backing onto a ramp and leaving the valve in an accessible position has odds like winning mega millions! It also seems to be more work then is necessary. Anyway I purchased the extensions from amazon. I only use the hose extension not the 90 degree valve. I just turn the ignition to the...

General Safety Recall - is the onus on servicing dealer to notify &/or perform the necessary work?

The manufacturer must inform owners of recalls, owners should keep the manufacturer informed of changes to their address, etc. The dealer's I use and have used always let me know if a recall had to be done.

2024 Spyder RT LTD Windscreen Not Working!? What am I doing wrong?

I agree blacklightning, why did BRP change its location but gave us 4 methods to raise or lower the radio volume (joystick, volume button on lower left-hand grip, on the center console and below the passengers' right hand grip)? By moving it, they compromised my safety when I want to adjust the...

Please tell me what Battery Heated vests you recommend?

I purchased our gerbing jacket and pant liners that connect to the battery more than 10 years ago. Work like new. Did a quick look on the gerbing website and the price is just about the same as 10 years ago!

Anyone tried wearing prescription goggles under a full helmet? Recommendations?

I agree with racoon, the cost of new glasses whether with an elastic headband or normal ear pieces will cost about the same as a new helmet. I wear glasses and alternate among my HJC Raptor modular, the HJC 3/4 and the Bilt 3/4 helmets. All purchased from Cycle Gear. I also wear a skull cap...

New Spyder sold with no factory warranty - is this right? What say you all?

Still makes no sense. The BEST warranty is transferable to a new owner. And, from BRP telling you the extended warranty expires in 3 yrs + 9 mos. it tells me that you did have some BEST warranty left since you cannot extend the BEST warranty if the original warranty has expired. Their rules not...

    Happy Birthday

I share my birthday with all Veterans (11/11). I had a great 72nd birthday, sharing a meal with children and grandchildren. I am recovering from surgery so I couldn't do my traditional birthday ride. I'll do that later in the month.
