• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    What maps do you use?

Having used many different routing platforms over the years, I found myrouteapp.com to be far superior in ease of use, versatility, formatting, quick transfer to the GPS, etc.. I’ve used it for many years.

    Zumo XT

Switched to the Garmin XT last week. Although I haven’t had the time to play with a lot, I can say it is amazing in its clarity, features, ease of operation and the Wi-Fi and phone app capabilities are pretty cool. It mounted directly to the same swivel mount I had for the previous Zumo. (see...

BajaRon or others that switched from a GS/RS to Ryker (900, not RE).

My RS ryding was a long time ago, but I certainly remember the fun and adventures I had putting 30K miles on it. As Ron did, I modified the handlebars to alleviate my having to lean forward putting pressure on my palms and shoulders. I did have seal floorboards too. It was a super ryde. I had my...

    Which one is the best???

None of the above. I’m particularly partial to 2 Brothers.

    87 gas

I have used 87 almost all the time in an 09 RS, 12 RT, and 17 F3, with a cumulative mileage well over 100K with zero issues, whether hot, cold, prairie or mountains, didn’t matter.

    Saturday 5.9.20 trip

I have had the pleasure of knowing and ryding with Keith many times over the years. He’s a great guy, has great friends, and knows the area and roads well. The rides are not only spectacular, but are incredible fun, at much more than a snail’s pace. I’m planning to make it to Maggie Valley...

    Keeping the rodents away...

For years back on the prairie, I used this product in the house and garage. Packets were also placed in and around the tractors and equipment to keep the rodents away. It worked consistently. It has what I consider a very pleasant pine smell. I refreshed the supply every three months. I still...

    My tour across America 2021

Hey, my friend, I’m saddened to hear of the loss of the loved one. You definitely ryde with a rowdy, spirited group group of Ladies and Gentlemen. In my Spyder life I’ve been blessed to romp around the Smokies with you guys, as well as travel over tens of thousands of miles around the USA and...

    Fuels for Spyders?

I’m with AR Traveler on this post. I’ve ridden Spyders since 2009, an RS. I’ve had an RT and now an F3. I’ve ridden them collectively over 100K miles. The overwhelming majority of those miles were powered by 87, with 10% ethanol. I’ve never had an issue.

    New Spyder Owner in Arkansas

I haven't been on the site because!!!!!!!

It’s been a few days since the last post. I’d like to add that I’m hoping your life situation and issue(s) are improving and you feel the Lord’s peace and comfort with the challenges.

    Spyder Shipper

I have used Uship for a Spyder, 4 wheelers and tractors. As said in an earlier post, it is a bid process and negotiable. In your bid specs you are able to set the parameters of the move, including a delivery day. All of the times I used Uship, delivery was made within 4 hours of the “window” I...

    BajaRon on Facebook

Like any venue or platform, there are pluses and minuses. Facebook is no different. It’s not for everyone. It’s just another way to disseminate information and diversify the marketplace. As for Ron, he is extremely customer service oriented, has access to great products and from years of...

    GPS compatabilty

The clasps on the center mounting plate is different between a Garmin 665 and a 595. As was mentioned above, make sure the mounting plate being offered in the deal is compatible with your GPS model.

    Keeping Warm

I’m glad you’re liking the new heated gear. As I’ve grown older, I can’t tolerate the cold nearly as well as I did decades ago. Just a note that Firstgear has a “battery powered” option. I chose to go with being plugged during the ryde time and opted to forgo the battery, at least for the near...

    My Baby is gone!

It’s only a short interlude between rydes. You’ll survive. The wait will be worth it. Congrats on the pending arrival of your new Baby!!

    Lake Michigan Circle Info/Experience?

I’ve been around Lake Michigan a few times. My interests and tendency to wander at hearts content, 4 days isn't enough, but if, say your goal is to just ryde around the Lake to say you’ve done it, that’s plenty of time. There is an official Lake Michigan Tour that you could use as a base route...

    Couple quick questions

I’m pleased to read all the posts by happy customers of iMotorsports. In early 2017, my experience with them was awful in all respects.
