• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Call out Video to Can Am On Road

I was with you until you singled out "boomers". Spyders are a natural move for older riders who can no longer safely operate a two wheeled bike but still enjoy the thrill of riding. We don't all putt along, clogging traffic.

I'm glad I got my ride in yesterday.

I live in the Phoenix area, and believe it or not it gets cold (to us, anyway) in the desert. What we don't have is ice and snow. I don't care how cold it is, I'll ride. I've ridden in the upper 20's, which is rare. It usually doesn't get below freezing here, but lower 30's don't scare me.

BRP GO/Connect & my helmet communicator

So helmet > bike and phone > bike, but not helmet > phone, Is that correct? What if you have a Garmin GPS in the mix?

What oil are you using for your 1330 engine?? Tips & hints on oil change?

I just did an oil change using Castrol Power 1 5W-40. $52.95 for a case of 6 quarts on Amazon.

    Adding Comms to modular helmet

I added a Cardo Packtalk Edge to my modular helmet. It's really easy to do. The mic mounts inside the helmet, and doesn't interfere with the opening/closing of the face shield.

BRP GO/Connect & my helmet communicator

Yes, in my opinion BRP took was lazy and took the easy way out by relying on phone apps to provide needed functionality for their infotainment system. If they had gone with the industry standard Android Auto or Apple Car Play, it would be a lot more functional. Not making their radio satellite...

Once again, BRP didn't show up for Daytona Bike Week!!

I used to attend Arizona Bike Week every year in Phoenix (it's easy for me, I live in a suburb). Years ago, all the manufacturers had booths and demos. HD, Suzi, Kawi, Honda, Victory, even Kemco (scooters) - you name it. The last time I went, which was probably 6 or 7 years ago, there were maybe...

    Imotorsports customer service

The fish rots from the head down. Poor employees is a reflection of poor management. Ghosting customers or potential customers is never a good sign.

Do you like riding your Spyder during motorcycle rallies ??

I find that I like riding in large groups less and less as I get older and hopefully wiser. I've seen too many stupid things happen over the years in large groups. Unless you know the skill level of the people around you, you are taking a big risk. For the past 15 years, a bunch of us meet up...

What mount do you use for your Garmin Drive Smart 65?

I use my Garmin Drive Smart 65 in my car, I have a Zumo XT for my Spyder. One is weather proof and the other isn't.

    Engineering Idiocy

Or Harley-Davidson with a horizontally mounted screw-on canister oil filter (like a car) directly above the rectifier. You can't change the filter without making a mess.

I was stupid! Battery dead at just 3 years!

I’d be thrilled to get 3 years out of a battery! The average life of any vehicle battery is about 2 years here in Phoenix. The heat destroys them.

A small Safety Mod to our 2022 RTL with a big improvement!

Hell of a good idea. I honk the horn about half the time I’m trying to operate the turn signals.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Not today - but this past weekend I installed a set of Tricled Afterburnerz taillights from SlingMods and replaced the BRP medallion on the frunk with a custom design I bought from a guy in Canada. Left side stock/right side with Afterburnerz Afterburnerz also have sequential turn signal LEDs...

YANOT (Yet ANother Oil Thread) 22 RTL - anyone tried Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel oil?

Thanks, but $35 a gallon isn't exactly out of reach. Look at what BRP charges for their oil!

YANOT (Yet ANother Oil Thread) 22 RTL - anyone tried Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel oil?

Hi, I am coming up on my first oil change for my 2022 RT Limited. In researching oil, the owner's manual states: "Use a 5W40 4-stroke SAE synthetic engine oil meeting or exceeding the following lubricant industry specifications: API service classification SJ, SL, SM or SN" I know about...

Here's what I plan to do with my '22 RTL. I have all the pieces, I just need to install everything.
