• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    FEEL RIPPED OFF

Get used to people approaching you, Joe! I have worked in the same small town (outside Memphis) for 12 years. I have been riding Spyders nearly 5 years. At least 3 times (or more) a week, I still get stopped, and asked about the Spyder.

    FEEL RIPPED OFF

Ann: As I mentioned to Erick a few minutes ago; if I had stuck to my original plan of trading in November, then my next Spyder would have been the 2014. :) But; things worked out to allow me to buy sooner. And, I asked about possible changes. But, all the dealer knew was that since the changes...

Scratched right panel around bolt head this morning..

Hi Dan! I've cooled off a bit now. :) Looking forward to the reunion! And, much thanks mentioning the touch-up paint the other day, and the link!

    FEEL RIPPED OFF

Well said!! :) What's happening here is probably the same thing that all those Gold Wing 1000 riders experienced when they purchased one year only to find out the following year came the 6 cylinder Gold Wing!!! I had to take a little than longer lunch hour today to just ride, and...

    FEEL RIPPED OFF

First of all; I don't feel ripped off. :) But, I would like to add to this thread, as well, considering my 2013 RT-S is not quite 8 weeks old. 3,075 of the best miles I have ever ridden, I might add. J When I saw the post from my dealer this morning on FB, I didn’t think much of it until I...

Scratched right panel around bolt head this morning..

All is well on RT-S Yellow Bird. Everything is secure. Nothing has fallen off. This past Friday marked the 6th week of ownership, and about 2,450 miles. All is well, with the exception of my little aforementioned snafu.

Scratched right panel around bolt head this morning..

Well; that explains it. I guess, I should have left everything alone. This is the first time I have ever had a situation with any of my Spyders. I naturally thought those were removable (and loose). Everything feels secure. I rode to work this morning. They do not feel like they can fall out...

Scratched right panel around bolt head this morning..

The panel did not appear to be tight - very loose fitting near the joint where the 2 panels overlap. I applied the torx to it lightly, and I could tell it wasn't very tight. But, the bolt would not grab it seemed. I backed out. Nothing. Like the bolt is just sitting in there, but, I wasn't able...

    Spy photo was real ?

Interesting! I only saw the photo. But; a few changes are obvious. My dealer told me that since BRP made the suspension changes, 15" wheels, Brembo brakes; there would only possibly be color changes for 2014. For me, personally, I'm quite happy. I now have the adjustable bars, comfort seat...

    From a stoplight; RT-S vs. HD Tri-Glide....

Indeed! Linda & Richard! Linda and I have worked together for the past several years. When I showed up at the office on my ’08 Spyder GS in Sept. 2008, she got interested, took pictures, and she soon ordered her first Spyder GS in Roadster Red. Now; Linda has the wonderful RT Limited. :thumbup...

Over 1,200 miles in the first 3 weeks.. My new RT-S is the finest machine..

Thanks everyone! Apparently; there is one other customer from my dealer that has also owned 3 Spyders. ;) I don't think he has logged as many miles as I have, however. It seems crazy to think that I have now logged over 65,000 miles on them in just under 5 years. No record, I know. But...

    FLAT TIRE AT 60MPH

Good job not panicking, & bringing it to a safe stop! Maybe, we can all take something away from your experience. I have never had a blowout. But; I hope if it happens to me, I can respond like you did.

    From a stoplight; RT-S vs. HD Tri-Glide....

Yesterday, we met up with some friends to cruise for a late breakfast and a run to Sardis Lake in north MS. Lots of great backroad riding in that area! She rides a 2010 RT Limited. Her husband recently traded a Yamaha Royal Star for a Tri-Glide. It's really nice, too! So; out east on Hwy. 302...

Over 1,200 miles in the first 3 weeks.. My new RT-S is the finest machine..

.. that I have ever owned - car or bike! And; that's just what I told my dealer yesterday. I'm really glad I owned the '08 GS, '11 RS-S first, though. They were both wonderful Spyders. But; this RT-S is something else! Three things really come to mind when I think about buying it. And...

600 mile service.. How much past 600 did you go for your first service?

Looks like I will be a bit over 1,000 miles before I get my RT-S in for the initial service. On my first 2 Spyders, I took them in at around 650-700 miles, I think. I've been waiting for my other gear to show up for install, and my GPS. So; a little mileage got away from me this time.
