• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Swaybar on the Rally Edition

The owners manual has enough grammatical errors that I refer to it as being written in Canadian! Was supposed to be a compliment!

    Service/Shop Manuals

I bought it; have seen better manuals but I've muddled through it and it is OK. I wanted the wiring diagram and it has good ones. I stumbled across a section called BODY with good break down of the panels and connectors. But it is not listed as a section of the book and I'm not sure how to...

    Swaybar on the Rally Edition

Ron, At least your instructions are written in English and not Canadian! And thanks for picking up the phone when we called! It is nice to have someone who really cares about their product! I made a longer run with the finished product yesterday but wind was brutal and I was fighting that and...

    Swaybar on the Rally Edition

I received my bar Saturday, installed it today. It DOES make a difference, especially on rough roads. I don't notice a big difference on cornering but it definitely takes much of the instability out of rough road riding (and I have lots of those...) Some tips for those who have not yet...

    Issues starting

With almost 1000 miles on mine, it happened today. I had rolled it with 'gear' in neutral and forgot. It would start but would not go! I didn't think it would start in between F and R but it did. It just 'huffed' at me when I rolled throttle....

    radiator grill

Yeah, I had those clips off whilst I was painting the lower trim piece. I can't believe they want $5.99 each for them! And they are reusable but barely! The 'grill' is nice though, glad it is there!

    Hi Viz Ryker Rally

After about 250 miles the first day, I decided it was OK to look through. Now I'm pretty used to it; not enough of a problem to send it back. The clarity of the material is excellent, no distortion whatsoever.

    Rykers Require 87 Octane - Not 92!

:agree: And that said, we will each run what we think is best, real world experiences or not (and my Ryker will run on 87, with or without ethanol.) Speaking of "crap I read on the internet..." This thread has more than its share. 48 posts and not one convert from 91 (92) to 87 or vice versa!

    Removing body panels? Be careful....

OK, I answered my own question. The whole 'nose' has to come off in order to get the silver trim piece off (four clips and two screws). But most folks will never need to remove the silver trim, I only did it to paint it. There are two screws back under the nose that release it. AND I found...

My Ryker low fuel indicator is puzzling

My .03 (inflation): I put 143.3 miles on my Rally last weekend. MTE said 73 miles remaining. So I 'filled up' with 4.22 gallons. Now the MTE shows 120 miles! And I've never seen a 'fuel light.' I have about 900 miles on mine now, averaging about 33-34 in regular mode (but the AVG MPG...

    Wheels falling off?

I bought the UK socket, a 1/2" to 3/4" adapter and a 1/2" 250 lb torque wrench. Works fine. I use a double thickness of grocery sack plastic on the nut under the socket; protects the nut and takes up any 'slack' in the wrench. None of it says BRP or Can Am.

    Removing body panels? Be careful....

I've removed the silver panels from my Rally and painted them an amazing Hi-Viz Yellow (Plasti Dip calls it Blaze). But I can't get the front lower panel, called a skid plate I guess, off. There are two screws visible, one on each outboard end but nothing else that I can see. OK, parts...

    Color Panel question

I just finished painting five of the six silver panels (well, the main two were yellow) with Plasti Dip. They will be awesome! Oh, if you look up the hood and small silver panels in the parts list, they are called Liquid Silver. How if I can figure out how to get the 'skid plate' (they have...

    Wheels falling off?

Did it really? I've had mine off and I just don't see how the clip would fall out. IF you were 'off roading' and caught it on a bush or something, maybe. I haven't zip tied mine, not sure if I will. YMMV. :bdh:

    Ryker dirt road and gravel

It is what it is. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZhhLu_-VRi4SWMzTjuRSsA Worst thing about riding off highway is CLEANING it! Lots of little crooks and crannies and the textured plastic likes to hold on to the dirt!
