• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I am ready for touring...

RykerUSA, I see they come with a variety of straps. How did you fit them under your 'top bag'? I have a Chinese Givi box, wonder if the straps would fit under it. Do they go over the top of the Max Mount or through it like the yard sticks? I'm through with long distance touring but want to...

Looks like a CalSci (which is what I have, much better than the stock/optional).

    Two Brothers Racing Exhaust

"Loud pipes save lives" is a myth! Loud pipes just piss off the public and make the rest of us look bad in their eyes (and ears.) Stay out of their blind spot and you will be OK.

    so whats its used for

Yes, you still have a few states to gather in! Maine and New Hampshire are worth the extra effort. And then there's AK.....I'm headed there in June for the 4th time but NOT on the Ryker. Lack of space and old body are the main reasons.

    Ryker key chain

I followed Spyderl's lead and drilled my extra 'key'. Worked like a charm. It has now become my primary 'key' and the extra will find a secret place to live. BTW, they fit perfectly in a 35mm film canister (remember those??)

    Removing body panels? Be careful....

That is exactly how I found canampartshouse.com. Also a good thing to ask dealer for a discount, many will give veteran's 10-15%.

    RYKER VSS System ?

Rode on dirt and gravel this weekend, first time. I ran it in Rally mode but I really had to work at it to get the rear end to come around on gravel corners. It had to be a sharp corner and then lots of throttle before it would break loose. Not sure what I am experiencing in Rally mode.....

    Removing body panels? Be careful....

So you want to see what's under those panels? I know I do. BUT before you start removing stuff and get heavy handed because something does not want to come loose, check out this place and see how much it will cost you if you break something: https://www.canampartshouse.com/ For example...

    Ryker key chain

KID, It looks like in your photo that someone modified the original fob with something around the end where the 'indentation' is. I might try super-gluing a 'loop' before drilling. Not sure how secure that might be though (super-glue does not always bond tightly enough!)

    RYKER VSS System ?

Good morning Chris! At least it's morning here in Texas! Good question, not sure if there is an answer. I had my Rally in the dirt yesterday and in Rally Mode I expected to be sliding around the corners; didn't happen. IF I got on the gas hard in a tight corner, I could break it loose but it...

Nico 75 - Fitting Ryker Grill Protection

I also discovered something that is not easy to remove and that is the silver 'trim' panel on the Rally's hood. It looks easy, just four star head screws. BUT these four screws have some type of thread locker and are fitted into square nuts that sit in plastic 'wells' that may have been...

    Ryker Gas Cap

I didn't realize that these caps are designed especially for the newer cars and trucks with 'capless' fuel filling. I'm not sure I'm ready for one but we will see. They are cheap enough......

    Crooked Handlebars/Loose Steering Stem

Seems Dedel is working with a tight bar to begin with; I dont understand what he means by "..push it from bottom to top against the handlebars...". Push what? And how would you push from bottom to top? I think it lost something in the translation!:hun:

    Body Panel Removal

Maybe in YOUR SPYDER manual.....It is apparent that you've never looked in the bundle of worthless paper that comes with a Ryker disguised as an Owner's Manual..... The parts breakdown shows all the panels and the fasteners, just not in which order. The parts diagram can be found here...

    Ryker key chain

You saying you got one with and one without a hole for a key chain split ring? Mine came with two identical with the exception that one of them has a ball with split ring and it fits into the key. I'd prefer a ring on the key itself so I'm going to drill one of them like Spyderl did.

    Ryker Gas Cap

How does it engage the neck of the tank? It doesn't look long enough to go past the tank 'valve.'

    Body Panel Removal

Good question! I'd also like to know how to get to the spark plugs!

    Crooked Handlebars/Loose Steering Stem

Sorry about the weather there! I have a nephew who lives up that way and he said it has been a brutal winter. The problem with my friend's Rally does not seem to be alignment but I suppose it could be. After figuring out how the attachment works, we were considering tapping the center bolt to...

    Ryker 900 Rear Shock Adjustment.

I have one like it that I modified to fit the head bearing adjusting nut on my FJR. It worked to back off the spring nut, just not sure how it would work in the opposite direction. So what did you use for the front shocks? Or do either one of you have a Rally? Someone posted that they could...

    Coasting

I should think that since all CV transmissions basically work the same that maybe it is a matter of spring tension on the fly weights/balls (do they have balls? A Recluse clutch works like a CV transmission but uses balls...) My Vespa 'coasts' about the same as my Ryker, maybe a tad 'coastier.'
