• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Fun? Well, yes but....

I also like pink shirts..... PS, let's see your map of states ridden along with bikes owned (34 as of last check) And unfortunately, I guess, I'm going to give the Vespa to my daughter this fall. And selling the FJR this summer. And keeping the DR250 for now.

    Fun? Well, yes but....

I have almost 600 miles on my Rally now and it is fun! BUT today I rode my Vespa GTS300ie Super to work. Now I have to say the Vespa is MORE FUN. Yep, more fun than the Ryker. Why? First of all, the advantages of the Ryker over the Vespa: Three wheel stability (at my advanced age this is...

    Glove box lock vid

Unfortunately life got in the way of my project. That and I lost (in my office on the floor.....) the little spring from the solenoid piston! Got the Rally now though and when I get a chance to remove the frunk, I'll get back to the project!

    Miles to empty accuracy

And in my experience, the 'miles to empty/range' figure appears randomly. I didn't see it for the first couple 100 miles and then had a hard time getting back to 'avg mpg'. Now I don't seem to be able to find it. But I rely on the odometer, resetting one each fill up (if I'm traveling and...

    "Tool Kit" location?

All I want is the shock 'wrench'. I have at least five from other old bikes but only one works and then marginally. I've tried that part number with no luck (and I don't want the whole kit anyway!) Where does one find a source, short of a dealer, for Ryker/Spyder tools? The BRP website is no...

    "Tool Kit" location?

Nice! The shock tool is almost a given, no idea how they expect us to adjust the shocks on a Rally without it. I found one in my tool box that works after a fashion, just lots of patience. As for going to the $Store, I don't need the tool, have MANY screw drivers. It is just the idea that it...

    Accessory power fuse block

I plan on adding a fuse block but was looking under the hood (actually installed a 12V outlet pre-fuse block) and I don't see a good place to mount one. I'm considering putting under the battery hold down strap but that is pretty tight.

    "Tool Kit" location?

OK, so it is just a screw driver. I WANT my screwdriver! Is it hidden somewhere or did my dealer forget to put it in? Maybe they are selling them to cover the cost of freight and set-up ($0.00 at my dealer.) :dontknow:

    Crooked Handlebars/Loose Steering Stem

Hey, NewYorkSpider, Did you ever get anything done about this?

    Crooked Handlebars/Loose Steering Stem

You figure out how to get to the problem? Your problem was not slightly off right to left but leaning to the left, am I correct? BTW, I'm off to the hardware store today, want me to find a windscreen screw for you? I can use one of mine for sizing.

First impressions on a long trip!

It seemed like the day would never come! And now the rain is back..........grrrr.

First impressions on a long trip!

This coming weekend will hopefully result in an 'off highway' video. My dual sport 'breakfast club' is meeting for a ride over nice back roads, 90% of which are dirt/gravel. My friend Duane and I are taking our Rally's, should be a blast (at least we hope it will be) to get them on the dirt...

    Handlebar clamp screw size

Well, here's the low down: the screws that come with the RAM mount are 8mm x 1.25, three different lengths (all too long anyway). The Ryker bolts are 6mm x 1.0. I sourced a correct size in the correct length and installed the RAM ball. I LOVE IT! Using a short RAM arm, I could position my...

Go Cruise Throttle Control and Ryker Rally

My friend Duane used his Go-Cruise but modified it with a length of plastic tubing to make it reach the hand guard. It also served to tighten the friction against the grip. He said it would hold OK but not indefinately. I've noticed the same thing on my FJR; bike will slowly slow down and...

Letter to shad, givi, etc. Saddlebags

Having just ridden my Rally 494 miles Saturday, I see no need for more luggage capacity. The top box I fitted will hold all I need for a two day trip. This is NOT a touring motorcycle! I was planning on riding it another 500 miles to my home in New Mexico but after yesterday, I think it will...

First impressions on a long trip!

Well May 3rd finally came; my friend Duane and I picked up our Rally's at Bradford Marine in Texarkana, Texas, and rode them home (494 miles to my door.) Great machine but, and I knew this, they are not designed for long distance riding. We picked them up from the dealer, took them to our...

    recommendations for riding gear,

Mine is MOTGATT! When we ride, whatever we ride, we assume some risk. Some are willing to assume more risk than others. If I knew I'd never crash, I'd just wear shorts and a T-shirt with flip flops! I actually knew a guy who rode his 'Wing like that but no t-shirt. Last I heard he had been...

    For the Plasti Dip folks

I'm wondering the same thing about Yellow... And like yellow, there are only two reds: Adrenaline Red and Midnight Red. The classic (included) red is Adrenaline as are the accents. The 'Exclusive' series come in Midnight Red. I seriously doubt there is either a Red or a Yellow Plastidip that...

    Ryker Inventory/Production

I think Tanner told me they got more than what you mentioned but have sold most of them. Our local dealer, who would not deal, said they were selling fast and we should not wait. We elected to skip his $1400 set up and freight charge and go to Bradford's in Texarkana.
