• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Special Request

I am going to ask this with all due respect to everybody... I really enjoy participating on these forums and lots of posts are a good thing, but... I come here to try to read as many posts as possible in as short a time as possible, as I have less and less time to devote. So... I respectfully...

    Muth Mirrors

Did you ever get the Muth signals mirrors? Did they fit the '15 perfectly? Do you like them?

    Farkle time

Thanks for the info. In another post somewhere they said they drilled their own hole above the existing for more support, but I like the idea of using existing hole in case you ever want to put it back to stock.. Also, did you use a large washer or just the size of the NMO underneath? I'm...

    Farkle time

Nice job On the Comet antenna... 1. Did you use an NMO mount? 2. What tupperware did you have to take off to get into that area? 3. Did you use the existing/CB knockout or did you drill a hole above it? 4. Is the knockout more like a twist out plug that can be removed and re-installed or is it...

F4 Customs has a shield that is 3" taller than stock 25"

    Part numbers?

My OEM is blue, and caught it with around 2 threads left. I'm guessing the dealer throws the antenna on and uses whatever they have handy.

    Part numbers?

Ummmm. Confused :dontknow: ... Unless all that's left is the stub, how do you use a socket on there, unless you slide it down the whole antenna and use pliers to turns it instead of ratchet??? I see how removing stub could work that way, but re-install??? And my wrench as seen is 7mm, I would...

Inaccurate speedometer / thermometer / clock

On the speedo (not that it really matters anyway as I don't worry about a few mph off) but I mentioned early in this thread, at least for me, only the digital display is off, the analog speedo seems to be right on with the GPS and a few mph less than digital. Don't know if that matters but it...

    LED HEAD LIGHTS

So it seems there are 2 very high quality products in this space. Would be nice to see a head to head comparison. Weren't there some with issues getting all the cyclops components under the cover?

Inaccurate speedometer / thermometer / clock

Mine is similar. The digital speed is off by around 3mph but the analog speedo seems right on (compared to GPS). Time does run fast and temp is alway high. I often ride with a Goldwing and sometimes my temp is as much as 10 deg hotter than his which I believe to be much more accurate.

    Gas door add on

-Fratz, I can tell ya from using the door on the Ultimate that if you're the kind that throws the nozzle in and pumps till it clicks and remove, the door is no problem. If you want to top it off to the very top/neck then it's a bit tricker since you are looking through the hole and its darker. I...

New Spyder Owner looking for good helmet Headsets

+1 for Sena. The 10u is nicely integrated into some of the higher end helmets otherwise you'll need to go with a helmet wart like a 20s.

    Error on RT

Please tell me if I'm wrong but based on reading another thread I thought the shifting was 'electronic', so either the switch made contact or it didn't. So, I would think even a light touch, even if enough to make contact would be a full shift. So I would guess more a sensor or something and not...

    2013 RT longer windshield

Nothing bad to say about calsci but lets just say some well respected tech folks in Spyder world said the F4 shields are definitely the best, especially clarity and scratch resistance. Met Don and F4 at bike week and was going to put one on but couldn't decide on the size. Still having trouble...
