• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

J&S Motorcycle jack for a Spyder

I bought a J&S with adapter pre-owned last year and just getting around to trying it and having some trouble... The jack doesn't come in contact with the center frame. The tube that comes off the frame seems to sit lower than the frame plus the jack seems to be tilted so the end closest to the...

Seeking Honest Feedback on Russell Daylong Custom Seats

I can't speak for the Russell as I have an Ultimate seat but I did want to say the backrest makes a HUGE difference. I wouldn't have any seat without the backrest. I'm sure the Russell is great and probably even better with the backrest.

Are Spyders super sensitive to road crown?

It's not mentioned much but I think zbunker is on the right track. It's called DPS and it is a computer setting. For some reason this is off alot. You need a good tech that really knows how to use BUDS and understands the settings. Have a good shop check DPS FIRST. After you know DPS is good you...

    Another tire question

Ride-On IS the balancer as well as puncture sealant. You don't want to use Ride-On AND the Centramatic balancers. If you are using centramatic balancers and want puncture protection use the Amerseal Lamont recommends. If you are not using the centramatics and want both balancing and puncture you...

    Front tires

I think it depends on what you mean by 'handling' and what you think could be better. I don't agree that the sway bar is the best thing you can do - again it depends. Shocks are just, if not more, important again depending on what you want. The sway bar and shocks complement each other. If you...

    jacking point

Be vey careful, I personally wouldn't lift from the frunk. At the very least get under the crossmember where the bottom of the frunk bolts in. But with an ATV/Cycle jack I would lift from the center frame if possible. Eyes can be deceiving, when I looked under I said the same thing, the exhaust...

    who's third brake light?

I am all Tric'ed out (TricLED) with their lights except for the HMT from Custom Dynamics. It's the only one that really does look like it's factory. It can be used as 3rd brake light only, running light only, or dual brightness running/brake with the optional modulator which is the way I have it.

    jack pics for SpyderSteveFL

It looks like that raised part on the short bar would kind of hook into the end of the frame where it is open. I'm sure that will be obvious when in hand.

Need a little advice..... corners like a pig on ice.

:agree: 100% But I did it in stages. First I did the sway bar and that helped a little. Then I changed the shocks and it helped yet more. Still need to change tires and get alignment then should be perfect. Remember, the sway bar and shocks are designed to do two different things. They...

    Magic Mirror Mounts

Man I really hate it when people just can't be civil and have a normal discussion. I asked a simple question, why the change in direction. Maybe a simple semantic thing but to me saying "we now ENCOURAGE" indicates there should be a REASON. If there have been cases of properly installed mirrors...

    Magic Mirror Mounts

Sorry, I have to ask. You say you now "encourage" the use of. Why ? What feedback? Has anyone actually had a mirror come off? I got your original tethers and didn't even bother with them. I've had them on bumpy roads and above "normal" highway speeds and they don't budge. I feel as if something...

    RS vs RT vs F3

If you want to change your ride, you HAVE TO try it out. Only your own body can tell you what feels right. If you are really interested in a certain model, see if you can rent one for a day and put some time and miles on it. You will then know what feels best. The huge difference on them is...

Me too, but its easy to add 2 min difference or use phone, or watch, or... Seems like better options to use gauge holes for besides time.
