• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Removing GPS from 2014 RT Limited

I would probably just leave the Garmin mount as is and mount the phone somewhere, lots of options. May also want to look at Tech Gripper instead of X-Grip, both good but I like the Tech Gripper better. Put in the USB port for powering phone. 1. You never know if you get the itch to sell or...

    Need Advice on RT-Limited

On the Sena there is a feature called music sharing where the person listening to phone can share with passenger. Lots of options. Don't disagree at all USB is better but my point is at what cost? All great points, especially the other stuff. I agree unless the '15 is an absolute steal a '16 is...

    Need Advice on RT-Limited

My $.02 1. Not factory, you can get a phone holder like X Mount, or I use Tech Gripper and mount via RAM mount - several mounts available, mine is on dash in old fuel gauge 2. Yep, via Bluetooth. You will need to press button on BT controller. 3. All aftermarket. Nice ones are drink2go (they...

    Need Advice on RT-Limited

I can tell you the 2015 (at least mine) still had the proprietary round port. USBs came out in 2016 models. If you are not planning on running phone music into the Spyder this shouldn't matter. I stream Amazon music via Bluetooth.

    FEDERAL EVO FRONT TIRE REVIEW

I know I've read all your previous comments in other threads on this topic so I was surprised to hear Kenny recommend 25. But thats what he runs and puts in all his happy customers. I understand what you are saying but I also totally 100% believe in Kenny, so it's a conundrum. I'll probably have...

    FEDERAL EVO FRONT TIRE REVIEW

Good to hear, I have a set here in the garage ready to install. They were highly recommended by Kenny Butler at CFP. Curious though when he installs them he sets the pressure at 25. Between these tires, Elka shocks and an alignment I'm hoping I don't recognize the bike :) Also hope it corrects...

    Frunk/Cargo unit lower bolt

Does anyone happen to know the part # or size for the 2 lower bolts that hold the front cargo box / frunk in place? Mine seem to be MIA and I can't find them on the parts diagram. Pretty sure its a hex flange, maybe an M6 but need to know length for sure.

Where to install aux fuse block for 2015 RT-S

Yes, right under the black trim panel.

Where to install aux fuse block for 2015 RT-S

Referencing the attached picture... Eddie: Are the 2 circled bolts where you attached a shelf? Did you just take a piece of sheet metal, bend it, drill out some holes then attach onto the bolts coming through with some nuts? Also I notice in some of your pics you had wires routing down where...

    Let's Talk Test Rides!

My $.02 is it really comes down to 2 things in order... 1. Comfort. If you are not comfortable you will hate it instead of loving it. This really comes down to riding position as the RT can be reconfigured with a different seat, tri-axis handlebars, etc. But you have to like the higher seating...

    Question for the electrical gurus

Well you can get very specific and calculate size with calculators like this, but to make it really simple, I just got a Neutrino which is rated for up to 60amps and it has a 10awg wire for power to battery and ground. While you could probabiy get by with 11 or 12 awg I would just use 10 and you...

    Getting a new seat

When I put the Ultimate Tallboy on I was concerned about passenger room. She did lose a little but say she is still plenty comfortable and thats with Tallboy plus backrest. I saw other lets say larger people on the back and they said they were ok too. So I would think unless the passenger is...

1 of 4 of my Bolts on Instrament Cluster dash has stripped head

Those screw should not be very tight. I would try the rubber band method first before power tools in there... http://www.wikihow.com/Use-a-Rubber-...tripped-Screws When you get them out replace the screws.

    LaSmoother!

So I have a dumb question - just got a set and haven't installed them yet. First impression unboxing - the rings weren't finished very well, and inasmuch as they are behind the wheel I'd expect not so have paint runs, etc on the ring. Also, I was expecting these to be quiet and granted I'm sure...

How fast do rear brakes wear?

I think EBC makes good stuff but like everyone has a range. I believe Ron sells the EBC stuff. I think these are the cheap organic pads and Ron sells the higher quality fully sintered ones. Probably makes a huge difference and I'm sure Ron can comment more intelligently. But I agree, a dealer...

    Two vs Three Wheels

Wanna get really conflicted? How about a leaning reverse trike? Some of the stability of 3 wheels but the leaning and fun of 2. You can get a tilting motor works conversion for a HArley or Goldwing today, the Yamaha MWT-09 is rumored to be out this year and the Honda Neowing may be coming in a...

    Another Helmet Question - D-Rings.....

When I shopped helmets I really wanted the Schuberth due to the quick connect but went with the Shoei Neotech. You MUST get the right, proper fitting helmet first and foremost. After a few times in the mirror the D-rings really are not that bad, even my wife who had trouble at first and hated...

    Trunk and Frunk lights

I used an LED with mercury switch but also added a manual switch so I can shut it off like during the day if I left trunk open for a while. I wired into the back of the accessory outlet which is wired to be on all the time. Pierre at CanAm Spyder Accessories also has some battery operated ones...

2016 RT Limited hard to hold on highway

I guess I got lucky and got a set on Jet.com shipped for $92 last week but looks like they don't have them anymore. The other place I was going to use was Online Tires - they look like they have them still...
