• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Sena Freewire

You may be right, but I wouldn't bet money on it yet, Bob. Unlike the SM10, the Freewire will have a USB style audio input (which is NOT used for power), and there is a 7-pin DIN-to-USB adaptor that you can buy for it. Until we see the documentation, we can only guess at all the functions that...

    Updates?

Plus... the RT Limited now comes with the much better Garmin Zumo 590 LM. I think that happened just this year with the 2017 model.

    Sena Freewire

I believe it WOULD do that, with the proper interface cable, but you wouldn't use it that way with a Spyder. The audio input on this new unit accepts an interface cable from the bike's entertainment system - not an output to your wired headsets. You'd have to get a Bluetooth headset like the...

    New vs Used

That's what my dealer originally told me, but he was wrong. Unless they changed the rules, the demo you bought must have been titled before. I bought a 2013 demo at the end of the riding season. It was listed in BRP's files as an untitled demo bike. My warranty started the day I titled it at...

    So I had a flat

Did you mean from within, or on the outside? ;) On the inside, you just put enough air in there so that you can see the air move from one little compartment to another, as you "squish" it. The idea is the air "relocates" around your butt so as to prevent "hot spots". On the outside... the...

    So I had a flat

You gotta forgive him - it's his birthday today, and he's probably drunk on bacon grease. FWIW, I "liked" his post, but only because there was no choice that said, "Don't Like, but still funny!" :sour:

I know this has made the rounds but....

:agree: if that noise happens all the time, or even most of the time, there is something that needs attention.

    New vs Used

:roflblack: I've ridden enough of them to get over my "1330-curiosity" including spending a day with a dealer loaner while mine was in the shop. I have nothing against the 1330 engine, but I also like the 998 a lot, for the reasons I've often stated. Most of all, I just REALLY like the Spyder I...

    New vs Used

Man, that IS a nice RT. And I love the looks of that seat! And the price seems about right for the low mileage and the accessories.

    New vs Used

:agree: The 2015 RT demo will come with a 2-year factory warranty, unless it's been previously sold to someone else. But if that's the case, it should still be under warranty, which means that you can extend it for up to an additional three years with a BEST warranty. The extended...

Happy Birthday to Our Eponymous Member

    Just wat to say Hi.

...AND for not having to give the freakin' ex any more of your money. ;) Enjoy that new Spyder.

    Phone Mount

JT (Cnc Machines), one of our sponsors, sells an accessory bar that attaches to those two screws you mention. You can mount all sorts of stuff on it. I like the TechGripper better than the RAM X-Grip, but either will work, depending on where the side buttons are on your phone. Click on my...

    Sun Visor for my Zumo

No. It's not THAT shady. ;)

    What now??

That's absolutely correct. The "physics" of the F3, making it handle better than other Spyders is a fact, not an opinion. A lot of people who ride them will attest to that. Problem is that for some of us, they are so darned uncomfortable to ride, that the "better handling" is a hard thing...

    Sun Visor for my Zumo

:agree: with our assessment 100%. I have the same one, which is also the one shown in the OP. It helps, and it's certainly better than nothing. And it does look nice. But like GA_Spyderman said, I just wish I could turn up the brightness a lot of the time.

Right Foot Heat GONE on my 2013 RT Ltd.

No, just a fan of pop rivets. ;)

    Tire question!

I've noticed that the attachment management module of the form software is a little buggy. It won't affect most folks, as most users never use that tool. The reason you continued to see the picture, when others could not, is because the picture "attachment link" was already in your browser...
