• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can you have to many lights?

Too many lights? Nope, not yet! This is my 2016 RT Limited. The LED headlights and fog lights are from Lamonster, and the rest of the lighting is from TricLED. The reflective decals are from Wrapmyspyder.com. https://goo.gl/photos/oGAjrdx9zDfSq9AG9

    your gear and cost

I'm riding naked. At least, that's how it seems after reading your lists! My "gear" wouldn't be a blip on the radar compared to yours. Basic starter stuff- mesh jacket, safety vest, HJC IS-MAX II helmet. I need to get busy buying some high quality gear; too many people depend on me.

    Flasher Module

If you decide to take it on, here are some things I learned along the way. 1. Buy a decent crimper. The combo wire stripper/screw cutter/ crimpers are not going to get the connectors crimped tight enough, and the smaller wires will slip back out right after you button everything up. Spend a few...

Sometimes I am such a nitwit...

I got flashed a couple of times tonight on the way home, so I decided to adjust my headlights. I got all lined up, and took off the panels, being careful not to scratch them or step on them. When I was happy with the adjustment, I had to turn the Spyder around to back it into the garage, so I...

I really want to like this bike...

I love my Spyders! Quick update: it took a couple thousand miles and a bit of perseverance, but I love my Spyders!

Ryde your Spyder and get fit!

I have the new Charge 2 Fitbit, which also has a barometric sensor. It detects changes in altitude in order to measure flights of stairs climbed. For the record, the OP was intended as satire. I think a "tongue-in-cheek" emoji would be very useful, as it would tip off readers to not take the...

Ryde your Spyder and get fit!

Yesterday I put my Fitbit in the glove compartment during my commute, and the magic didn't happen. :yikes: No extra steps, no stairs climbed. I won't make that mistake again! :joke: As far as driving yourself to better health, why not? Sure, it doesn't have the aerobic properties of running, or...

Ryde your Spyder and get fit!

Last week I got a Fitbit so I can see how much activity I get. I don't really need a gadget to tell me that I have turned into a sloth, but my new company is encouraging us to get fit by giving us a $50/month cut in our health insurance premium if we do certain things, so I figured what the...

    Belt tensioner placement

I would just leave well enough alone and stick it on the top. It works quite well up there, and the installation is easy.

To all you folks in the north east

I am a wimpy Californian You folks are prepared for sloppy weather. We aren't. The roads don't drain well, our warmest clothes are only good down to about 65F, and we don't get any practice driving in the muck because there usually isn't any! I had to stop at CycleGear at lunchtime today and...

I'm with Dave. It was 42°F this morning when I left for work, and my legs are still cold. I've gotta get some warm riding gear. nojoke

Road Trip to DEALERS in California (Disappointed)

Nice F3! I think I almost bought that very F3! I bought my RT in Escondido on 12/17, and I was sitting on the F3 and zooming down some really cool roads in my mind, but that shiny Pearl White RT Limited next to it was whispering my name in rather sultry tones. I'm so easy...:opps...

Doc Humphreys RT BELT VIBRATION DAMPER KIT

I'm pleased with it! I rode my Spyder into work this morning and forgot to check how well the new tensioner is working! It must be working well, 'cuz I hit 75 mph and it was not vibrating at all!I

Doc Humphreys RT BELT VIBRATION DAMPER KIT

I installed mine on Friday. Too much rain to go for a ride, though. The installation video is a must-see. The actual installation is a breeze, but the video shows the way the parts go together.

The devil made me do it.

I think the main reason I bought it was because I cheaped out and bought a 2012 in May, when I really had my heart set on a 2016. I really like the 2012 now that I have it set up right, but the 2016 is just so much nicer. I'm selling the 2012 and will lose a bunch of money on it, but I think I...

The devil made me do it.

So far, I have installed Doc Humphrey's belt tensioner; a medium CalSci windshield; Tricled.com dual-color DRLs, saddlebag LEDs, in side trunk LEDs; Lamonster.com LED headlights & foglights, WrapmySpyder barbedwire lightning decal kit and chrome air-dam inserts; full-sized brake pedal; USMC...

    Belt tensioner placement

I'm just curious. I put the SmoothSpyder on my 2012 and the BRP on my 2016. The SmoothSpyder works well; I haven't taken the 2016 out for a ryde yet.
