• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Question about car leases

I would agree with this. I've never been able to see where leasing is of any great value to the customer. You might be able to get some great leasing deal where the numbers work in your favor but I wouldn't say that's the norm.

    Question about car leases

If you lease the amount is based on what the difference between purchase price and what the dealer says the car is worth when your lease is up. Also have to add in taxes and fees.

Puddle of oil on the ground.

My dealer over filled both my Ryker and Spyder by half quart when they changed the oil. Luckily I checked it after I rode them home from the dealer. So, only about 50 miles on them. I didn't have an spills happen when I checked the oil. I did have to "suck" out the excess oil. I think the...

Ryker vs RSS - What's your opinion?

If "she won't be driving very hard or fast" buy a 600 Ryker. They are cheap, fun to drive, about 2/3 the size of a Spyder, maintenance is super minimal and there are tons of accessories if you want them. It will be fully warrantied and for about $650 you can add the BEST 3yr warranty.

    Can- Am 2021 Line up

No changes to the Ryker. If they offered a Ryker Sport with the 900 ace turbo I would have bought one tomorrow. Stick with the 2012 rs and 2019 rally I guess. Just nothing there worth buying a new model.

Any thoughts on buying a Used RS/GS/ST or a New/Used Ryker?

I own both a 2019 Ryker and a 2012 RS. They are very similar machines in my opinion. Each has its pros and cons and it really comes down to to what you'll be using the bike for and your seating preference. Personally, I feel the RS rides better than the Ryker and the seating position is more...

Ryker "Down Shifting" while engine braking

About 8500 miles on my Ryker and it still does this and has since day one. I'm not sure why but my opinion is........Its a secondary clutch tuning issue and my first thought is the clutch backshifting which I believe would primarily be controlled by the helix (ramp cut) and secondary by the...

Ryker "Down Shifting" while engine braking

Correct, putting a new pump won't fix the issue. Funny thing is....there was a post on this forum a while back from someone who had the fuel pump noise issue. He just bought a replacement pump (cost like $40), pulled the BRP fuel pump assembly out of his Ryker and just replaced the pump itself...

Ryker "Down Shifting" while engine braking

Thanks for the info. So my 19 Rally is waiting on a fix from BRP for: The "skipping" belt/clutch described above Noisy fuel pump Leaking brake reservoir cap Fine by me as long as I can keep riding and they actually fix these issues.

I like those. Look like they were made to be there.

Anyone Ever Remove The Tank Cover

You don't have to remove anything to put brake fluid in. Just slide that foot peg all the way forward and you have access to the cap. I have a 2019 Ryker, almost 8000 miles and I've had a brake fluid leak (from the cap) since day one. I've replaced both the cap and diaphragm and it still has...

    Fuel quantity remaining

On the Ryker, when the pump clicks off automatically..........don't add more more fuel. It will just run out the overflow onto the ground.

    Ryker 900

Bought a Rally in 2019. 7000 miles later and loving it. Personally, at this point in time with the model lineup Can-Am OnRoad has I would only consider buying a Ryker. None of the Spyder model are for me.

    Contemplating modifying primary clutch

Those are not specific to the Ryker. Those are specific to the clutch used on the Snowmobile with the 900 Ace Engine. I'm sure if you checked part numbers the clutch on the Sleds/ATV's and the Ryker are pretty much the same so those parts "should" work on a Ryker but of course its a guess and...

    Contemplating modifying primary clutch

You are looking at replacing the entire clutch with aftermarket with those kits. Another option is to just replace some of the internals of the stock clutch https://www.straightlineperformance.com/straightline-performances-new-0-3000ft-ski-doo-e-drive-clutch-kits/ But clutching might not be...

    Contemplating modifying primary clutch

I can't be much help here but......in the snowmobile world primary clutch weights and springs are typically switched out to achieve one of 2 things. Harder/stronger/faster acceleration which comes with the cost of a lower top speed Higher top speed which comes with a cost of weaker acceleration...

    Ryker leaking oil

I'm guessing the filter housing cover wasn't tightened down?

998cc Spyder neglected abandoned , Found it and i am bring it back to life

The transmission uses the same oil as the engine. You don't specifically change the engine oil and the transmission oil separately. It's one in the same. Same oil circulates between both. If you have an SE5 model there is also a specific filter for the transmission.
