• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Adjusting front Rally shocks

Mine were set to 3 from the factory. Over rougher pavement terrain I found the front to be "bouncy" which I attributed to bottoming out. I increased the pre-load to 4 and though it was a little too much so I backed off to somewhere around 3.5-4. The rear, I have the dial set on 1 and I...

Gear shift almost impossible 2020 Ryker 900 Rally

I agree, either the idle is too high or the clutch needs adjustment because the belt is too tight. There should be no creep.

    Ryker leaking oil

Did you check the dipstick to make sure its tight and oil isn't coming out the fill hole? I'd take it back. That is not normal. Overfilling that engine with oil will blow the motor. If this was caused by the dealer changing the oil then I'd have serious reservations about their ability to...

How do Oregon riders handle this?

Just a word of caution Gkamer since you have a Ryker. DO NOT let any fuel spill (not even one drop) on the matte plastic panels. The fuel will discolor them. I wrap a paper towel (usually found buy the window wash near the pump) around the end of the nozzle until the nozzle is over the gas...

    Fuel Pump issue on Ryker

Known issue. No recall. My bike has been doing it since about 1000 miles. Over 6000 now at all is working fine, just annoying. Does it on hot days when the fuel gauge reads 1/2 tank or below.

Test Ride, do you let them?

I would let them if I felt comfortable they were seriously looking to purchase after I met them. If they can ride a 2 wheel bike they can ride a Spyder. As long as you have full coverage insurance on the bike they will be covered if they are in an accident If I had 2 bikes (or could use a...

If Honda built a better tryke, would you buy it ??

If they built something I was interested in I'd buy it. It would have to be a "sporty", performance minded bike. Something the Goldwing or Spyder RT isn't. One of the BRP dealers in my area is also a Honda Dealer. Not sure how they handle their Honda customers but they suck with BRP...

Did they give you an estimated ship date when you ordered?

    Dealer fun, advice needed

Not sure the manual says to do this but its common practice on these types of clutches. On the snowmobile BRP provides a little tool (essentially a bolt with a handle) in the toolkit for this. Screw in the bolt, this splits the secondary clutch so the belt can drop in and have slack. Then...

Ryker "Down Shifting" while engine braking

Yes, that's exactly what mine does.

Just had mine done. Shifter is $159USD. 1 hour of labor.

Ryker "Down Shifting" while engine braking

I would say you have it right on except........I don't believe there would be any power delivered back to the primary since its still rotating at the idle RPM (around 900 I think). The belt would just turn (same direction as primary) and slip on the center shaft of the primary (and/or possibly...

Ryker "Down Shifting" while engine braking

I was suggesting the forward/reverse gear box. 6000 mile service complete. Talked to the dealer about the issue. Gave him an example of going down an incline (hill) completely letting off the throttle half way down and letting it coast to the stop sign using the brake to stop. While coasting...

Ryker "Down Shifting" while engine braking

Pretty sure its not the clutches. I'm pretty sure its in the gearbox. Funny thing is I hear you guys talk about engine braking. My Ryker doesn't have any really, it will free wheel when you let off the throttle for a long time. Unlike my Ski-Doo which engine brakes heavy when you let off the...

Ryker "Down Shifting" while engine braking

What your feeling is not downshifting or belt slipping. My 2019 does it as well so to my knowledge its normal. It only happens sometimes when I'm decelerating (typically when going down a steep incline to a stop) What I believe is happening is the drive shaft is being allowed to "jump the...

    Ryker Rally rear shock

Best thing to do is increase the preload and see how it goes. I rode for the first time 2 up with my wife last week. Combined we are about #330 (I'm about #190). Before we left I increased the spring preload a bit. I was surprised how well the Ryker road and handled with both of us on there...

    Ryker Rally rear shock

I don't know if the KYB shock can be made stiffer than the the shock on the 900? There is adjustment on the Rally shock (and I believe the 900 as well) to increase the preload on the shock. The rally has this adjustment on the front and rear shocks. I believe the 900 only has it on the rear...

    About to Pull the Trigger.......

I wouldn't worry about reliability. They are as reliable as anything else in my opinion. If it really bothers you buy an extended BEST warranty. You can purchase it anytime until the 1 yr standard warranty runs out (don't have to buy it now) and it only costs like $700 for 36 months (that...

    Ryker stock solo seat

My Rally seat isn't bad. After a couple hundred miles its a little uncomfortable but I've done 450 mile days with it. My real complaint is....I wish it were about 2" higher. I think I'm going to buy the Corbin seat and see how that goes.

Replacing the shift switch on my SE5

I pulled the code. P0826, Shift up/down switch detection problem, Shift up/down switch out of range, switch defect. The same code that the warrantied shift switch threw. New switch was $159.
