• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

Post above by MNBK got me thinking about the 2017’s involved. My ryde is within the mileage specs for the recall. These latest bulletins only list mileages to tell whether units are subject to the recall. I saw early on that the problem started in mid-production for the ‘17 models. I checked my...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Yes, yes it is! This is what FM2925 looks like just about 1/2 mile from my house. Storm ended Friday morning, pic taken Sunday at 5:02pm. Water is probably 3 feet deep about 3/4 of a mile North of my location in this pic.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Got in a 40-mile ride today in gorgeous sunshine. Had to scope out a route in my truck first, because there are many seriously flooded roads around after 19+ inches of rain fell Wednesday/Thursday. Only got the Spyder’s tires wet once - about 1/2 a mile from my house. But lots of water all around.

I saw this while on a ride last summer...

Well, there ARE some of those striped critters in Texas. Saw four of them near the fence on a ranch between Freer and Cotulla last year when I was on my way to ride the Three Twisted Sisters. For a second, thought I wasn’t hydrating enough and was seeing things!

Your Weather News @ March Edition 2025

^^^^ Update - it is now 4:20am, and I dumped an additional 4.7” from my gauge just now. Total of 18-1/2+” in 27 hours. Lost electricity at 1:32am. Will start portable generator about 6am, then try to go see what kind of damage we have at our farm and headquarters, and see if any of my neighbors...

Your Weather News @ March Edition 2025

Well, it’s currently 11:34pm local in deep South Texas, and we have had 14+ inches of rain since 1:30am. Still raining now, and expecting several more inches overnight. We were a little dry, but I didn’t need the whole state of Texas’ rain in one shot! Just praying that the water stays out of...

Ordered the Clutch assist kit from BRP

A semi-related question - is there something to help lessen the pull on the ‘17 SM6 clutch? Believe I saw somewhere that this assist kit is for ‘15 models only. My ‘17 is pretty stiff, and if something is available to help lessen that, I would like to look into it. Thx.

Engine smoking and burning lots of oil - anyone pulled an engine?

My SM6 is stiff whether running or not. Probably the stiffest clutch pull on any cycle I have owned, as well.

Should I get something showing I have bought the BRP Extended Warranty?

Got mine from iMotosports online. Only documentation was the emails back & forth. Called a local dealer a week later, gave them my VIN, and they confirmed. Done.

Your Weather News @ February Edition 2025

South Texas weather looks good for the next week or so. We’ll be having highs in the mid- to upper-80’s F. Good enough that I am going to get my planter loaded up and get started on our corn this afternoon or tomorrow morning. I apologize to all of you in the frozen tundra for making you feel...

Recall - 2017-2019 RT and F3 Engine Output Shaft Can Break!

Does anyone know if the latest versions of this recall still use the October 29, 2016 date as the early cut-off for the 2017 models? I read through the BRP info supplied by Freddy in post #82 above, which simply states “Certain 2017 to 2019 …” and goes on to list the mileage thresholds. I see...

Your Weather News @ January Edition 2025 (Updated)

Very cold (for down here!) start to the day today. Took an early-morning 44-mile ride today. The 7:50am departure temp was 27°F, wind NNW at 4mph, sunny skies. Not a bad ride. But I may need to invest in some sort of electric gloves for next time.

Your Weather News @ January Edition 2025 (Updated)

Welcome to sunny deep South Texas - NOT! Current temp of 33F, feels-like temp of 15*F, humidity 96%, winds NNW 26mph, gusts at 43mph. Having an on-and-off mix of drizzle, snow, freezing drizzle and/or sleet. Gonna get a little colder today, then warm up to about 37*F later today. But it’s gonna...

F3s Travel cover needed - any recommendations on which is best?

@Dasmoetorhead - just an FYI … a F3-S will fit into a UHaul 6’x 12’ enclosed trailer - but ONLY the one with the double swing-out doors in back, and NOT the roll-up door. My wife pulled that UHaul from here in south Texas the ~525 miles to Dallas, loaded up the new-to-her ‘15 F3-S, and pulled it...
