• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Stability at Freeway Speed?

Would suggest that you install the Baja Ron Swaybar, and have the unit laser aligned, for complete peace of mind, BUT, that sucker will still be very solid. With the above mentioned improvements you will have a very easy time on the highway!

    just quit

You are correct. If you ever have a sudden loss of power, take a look at the kill switch. Happened to me about 700 miles into an Iron Butt at 70 MPH. Immediate deceleration and I Hollered Oh S#*t in my headset and happened to look at the kill switch. Flipped it off and then turned it off and off...

Do we like modular helmets or not???

"They don't make a modular because they can't get Snell Certification. That is also why they came out with the "External Flip Up Sun Visor" as Snell will not approve the internal flip up sun visor." Now that is the exact thing I posted. You have an active imagination, or a poor understanding of...

Do we like modular helmets or not???

They don't make a modular because they can't get Snell Certification. That is also why they came out with the "External Flip Up Sun Visor" as Snell will not approve the internal flip up sun visor.

    Jeans or regular moto Trousers?

I wear riding pants that do in deed have armor in them. They are abrasion resistant, but, I wear them because they are warmer than jeans in the winter and cooler than jeans in the summer. Just give it a try it is true.

Butt Burner Gold 1500 miles in 24 hours

Interesting, I guess that would be true for you. Not for me, I have trained hard for this, and I know, it can be done. Now to share with you more about the plan. If I get tired (doubt it) I can change the goal to a Bunn Burner Silver and grab 6 hours of sleep, finishing in under 30 hours. Or get...

Butt Burner Gold 1500 miles in 24 hours

Dave, thanks for the advice really handy. Our first was with three SPYDERS. We packed all of our food and drink. Quick easy to eat sandwiches, lots of water, but against the common wisdom we did down a couple of5 hour energies. The 998 held us back as we made a least 3 extra gas stops. The worst...

Butt Burner Gold 1500 miles in 24 hours

My wife and I are planning a Butt Burner Gold ryde. Wanted to see who else there has attempted this ryde, and what advice you can lend. We have completed the Saddle Sore 1000 in 19.25 hours and loved every minute of it. That was when we had an RTL with a 998. We now have an F3L and an 2018 RTL...

How Far On One tank Of Gas?

Interesting thread. The wife and I are about to test this over the weekend. We are trying to see if we can get 200 miles on a tank of gas. We will be ryding interstates only, and we will be using ECO mode and cruise control. This is for a test to see if we can complete a “Butt Burner Gold” Run...
