• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What replacement Tires for a 2019 RT?

Well I just ordered a Vredestein Quatrac 205/60 - 15 from Tire Rack. I don't need a rear tire yet, I have 6300 miles on the OEM Kenda and it still looks pretty good. The Vredestein Quatrac is currently back ordered so I went ahead and ordered it to insure I'll (hopefully) have it when I...

Frustrating! Delivery time on New RTL

You didn’t say if the dealer had the unit in stock waiting to be assembled or if the dealer was waiting for the unit to be delivered to them, in which case it is out of the dealers control. I’m not trying to take up for dealers as many could do much better in the customer care department...

    Car Tires and Tire Pressure

I’m going to assume you meant that to be funny, sorry I don’t see that way. That’s good to hear.

Thanks Mike, that’s information I can use.

    Car Tires and Tire Pressure

It is good to hear solid antidotal evidence too, thank you. I can’t say I’m an aggressive rider since I’ve never had the nanny kick in so far so worrying about bead separation may be unfounded...I dunno. I do plan on going to a parking lot one of these days to try to find out at what point that...

    Car Tires and Tire Pressure

I was initially going to post this in another tire thread but decided it may be too much of a hijack. Being a Spyder rider for less than a year I have no experience with anything other than the OEM Kendas, but I expect I will replace the tires with a car tire when the time comes. I expect to...

Looks aren't everything , or are they ?

Large power mirrors, is that on the S2S RT? I’m being serious, I’ve totally missed it if it is. Edit: thought about it and I’m guessing you intended to say windshield instead of mirror which would make sense.

Sea to Sky - are heated handrails and factory armrests compatible?

If you’re asking if you have to remove the handrails in order to have arm rest the answer is you do not, the hand rails and arm rest have separate mounts. Let us know how you like the arm rest, I’m not sure I like that they don’t swing out of the way very much so I’ve held off ordering them.

    Electronics on handlebars (smartphones)

I've used a wire rope isolator along with a perfect squeeze phone mount for several years now and not had any problems with my iPhone camera so far, knock on wood. https://hondogarage.com/collections/popular-products/products/buzz-kill-vibration-isolator

    Kenda Kanine rear tire trial!

I don’t know which question you are referring too answering many times the expert qualifications question or the ballooning tread question. Look forward to your clarification. In my short time on this board I’ve read several times that you are/were an accident investigator, in which case you’ve...

    Kenda Kanine rear tire trial!

I thought I ask very nicely for mor info, but It’s been my experience that when someone gets backed into a corner they come out swinging. Like Ronald Regan said, trust but verify. Not going to argue but I’m also not putting any credence into your tire argument without knowing you have the...

    Kenda Kanine rear tire trial!

Unfortunately in this internet age people throw out unsubstantiated statements all the time, which I refuse to accept cart blanche. To give yourself better standing I would appreciate it if you would list your credentials that give you authoritative standing on this subject and a link to...

    Kenda Kanine rear tire trial!

Could someone point me to a controlled scientific study of this ballooning of the tread portion of a tire carcass, please?

Adding a simple compass to my RT's handlebars, any suggestions?

Most GPS map apps on smart phones have an option to show a compass.

    B.E.S.T Extended Warranty

Thanks for the clarification, It’s hard to imagine there would be a dealer anywhere that would take your money and never actually purchase the additional coverage, but stranger things have happened. Sounds like you’re on top of it. :2thumbs:

    B.E.S.T Extended Warranty

That bothers me, I’d like to hear from others to know if they received any paperwork with their BEST warranty. I cannot imagine buying a CanAm product that doesn’t have written policy...they have to at a minimum spell out what’s not covered and deductible. WJH, who did you buy yours from? The...

Another BRP issue, looking for advice

I meant to post too but forgot. I received my data blockers (came as a package of two). Went foe an entire day ride and they worked perfectly. Kept the phone charged during use and allowed me to connect via Bluetooth for music and map directions. Thanks @kissfan for recommending them!

    S2S floorboard rubber mat loose?

I have a S2S and that's the way they're made. It's just a vibration dampening mechanism. When you remove the floorboard rubber at some point to install highway pegs you'll understand the looseness is intentional. Go to Lamonster garage and watch their highway peg video and that will explain...
