• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

To kill or not to kill (switch), that is the question

I don’t disagree with what you’re saying but find it ironic that the old fashioned kill switch is the only way BRP gave us to shut off the Ryker.

All you Dragon Riders watch out for this stuff

Absolutely agree, the Back of the Dragon is much more fun for me and not nearly as much traffic.

Where's the best place for a K-tag on the Spyder?

That’s interesting, I’ll have to try that with mine. The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority says theirs will not work when stuck to a plexiglass motorcycle windshield so I’m curious to see if it works thru the frunk lid, guess I’ll find out.

How to ride to break in a new F3L

I agree with ARtraveler’s advice. Also Shawn Smoaks (google him if you don’t know who he is) says never, no not ever, use Eco mode and I follow that advice myself. One other thing I do, is I do not use the cruise control at all until I’ve got at least 500 or more miles on the bike. I do not...

Need to avoid clipping the nose Loading a Spyder on a trailer - ideas?

Have somebody watch while you drive up slowly and stop you if you’re about to hit bottom. If they stop you raise it more and repeat. After about one time you’ll know just by feel or instinct how high you have to lift the front of the trailer. If you scrape bottom slightly once in awhile it’s...

Need to avoid clipping the nose Loading a Spyder on a trailer - ideas?

Leave the trailer connected to your vehicle and use the tongue jack to raise the front of the trailer reducing the transfer angle. That’s what I do when loading my ‘21 RT into my toy hauler and works fine with no extra boards to keep up with.

What Did You Do To Your RYKER Today?

I installed the BRP Adventure windshield. Easy 20 minute job.

2020 RTL Seat strut barely holds the seat open - ideas?

I put the external spring on mine and it works fine but I think I may try what Chip did, why not get it completely out of the way.

Trunk Lid Dropping - any adjustment or fix?

The hardest part of replacing the strut for me was removing the spring clip off the bottom post mount, otherwise it was straight forward, quick and relatively easy. Best of all the new strut works way better than the OEM ever did.

Make sure you buy your Extended Warranty BEFORE the OEM Warranty expires!

You scared me, had to go back and look, I couldn’t remember if I purchased the additional 3 yrs. or just 1 year…whew I got the 3 yr extension. BTW the $671 from iMotorsports is the amount for the 3 yr BEST warranty.

Make sure you buy your Extended Warranty BEFORE the OEM Warranty expires!

Sorry to hear that for you, that really sucks. My recommendation for others is to make a reminder on your phone/calendar or whatever you use for at least 30 days prior to the factory warranty expiring.

2020+ RT Passenger Arm Rests finally available! New Part No

Both the old and the new arm rest swing out on the RT version. I have no idea about the F3 version but I suspect they swing out too. My estimation is ~20 degrees swing in each arm. When in the closed position they are about 20” apart (depending exactly where you are measuring from) and swung...

2022 Ryker keyless gas cap, where to get?

Why? Just don’t lock the cap you have, or ask your dealer parts counter if a cap for a pre ‘22 model will fit your 22 model as the earlier caps did not lock. That feature was added for 2022.

A Spyder and a Ryker, who has both and why

I have both, see my sig line. I bought the Ryker to explore dirt and gravel roads but I find I don’t ride the Ryker near as much as I thought I would. I’ve considered selling it but I never quite get to that point. The Rally has an extra inch of clearance, so around 5” which still isn’t much...

Where do you carry your Spare key?

I keep the spare key in the trunk, inside a black magnetic holder held high on the back wall of the trunk. Very hard to see would be easy to overlook if you didn’t know it was there. Then I keep an unchipped key (Ilco X270) hidden elsewhere on the bike but easily accessible.

Any recommendations for upgraded battery with more CCA’s?

Case Closed The Spyder is completely back to normal! Brake lights are working, but will still need the recall work completed whenever they get replacement switches in. Details Last nite I was rehashing in my mind everything I had done and I could not remember reconnecting the brake switch. I...

Any recommendations for upgraded battery with more CCA’s?

Saga Update New battery, trickle charged 48+ hours before connecting to Spyder. Voltage is 13.08 to fully charged and completely unconnected battery. Voltage when connected to bike (not running) 12.58. Spyder started fine. Still showing orange exclamation mark, check engine symbol and red...

Any recommendations for upgraded battery with more CCA’s?

Thanks for your post, I’d just about come to that same conclusion based on Peter’s post and more online research after that. I’m taking your advice and connecting the battery and going…sure hope I don’t ruin a brand new battery! I have a full weekend of watching my two grandsons competing in...

Any recommendations for upgraded battery with more CCA’s?

Thanks for the info. Not sure how I'll proceed from here, could take it to the dealer but don't want to think about it sitting there for half the summer!
