• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Random thought for the day

51 years ago today, the 1st public cell phone call was made by Martin (Marty) Cooper.

What should I be aware of for the PA Skills Test at the DMV?

Check the local DDS/DMV website. There is probably an online copy of the study material. That should give you an idea of what to prepare for.

My experiences with Front tire mounting...

This may be a silly question, but by mounting are we referring to tire on rim only or the whole shabang of installing on the Spyder?

Thinking about buying a Can Am - looking for advice??

Yeah. Hopefully, they have more than Rykers so you can experience multiple machines. It is a controlled course. So, you won't be getting in high speed street rides, but you can at least get the basics of operating the machine. I still suggest trying to ride the Spyder models during the Can Am...

Thinking about buying a Can Am - looking for advice??

I think the sentiment regarding the F3T wasn't mentioned b/c your initial description was "a 2020 Spyder (can't exactly recall the model) with side trunks but no top trunk for 17K" That could describe either the F3T or Base RT or an F3 that has added bags. Sorry. However, I think the overall...

First Rally (Hot Springs) - advice?

Don't forget patience and a positive mind/attitude. You never know what you will encounter while riding that can bring down the mood (other drivers, traffic, bad road conditions, weather, etc.) So, just enjoy the moment. Take stops as you need to. No reason to beat yourself down to make it to...

Thinking about buying a Can Am - looking for advice??

I didn't read all the posts, but I'd agree with those I did read. Spyder over Ryker based on what you described. As far as the test ride, you'll probably get your best feel at the Can Am Experience if the event you visit is like the event I visited. The ride was at least an hour, but I'm...

Are you happy with your aftermarket CAR tires?

I don't want to say I was skeptical, but I wasn't quite sold on all the rave reviews prior to me changing tires. I was really going to try to keep things OEM, but.... I'm glad I didn't. I've only put on a little over 100 miles since having them installed. The difference is very noticeable. On...

Any non-dealers in Atlanta area who do oil changes?

That sucks. I try not to bad mouth folks/businesses, but I understand your sentiment on MMS. I had unfavorable interactions with sales at 1 location and service at another. I did ride to Cartersville for several services; the laser alignment, installation of floorboard lights, & a few warranty...

Any other Spyder Riders in Cumming, Canton, Dahlonega, Dawsonville, & Alpharetta?

Awesome. They do really good service, but they do charge dealer prices. I like them and will give them my business for some things, but still looking for someone to do basic things for reasonable prices.

Any other Spyder Riders in Cumming, Canton, Dahlonega, Dawsonville, & Alpharetta?

Try the shop in Cartersville. They might be expensive though. Depending on the work being done, you may be able to go to WOW.

Any non-dealers in Atlanta area who do oil changes?

Sorry, Have you found a shop yet? If you found 1, let me know. I may give them some of my business. Otherwise, I may ride up to Tenn and see BajaRon. If you went to MMS, they're expensive for all maintenance. I like the folks in Cartersville, but they are expensive for some things as well. Maybe...

    Choosing between 2019 F3T Ltd & 2023 F3T Ltd - any insights?

Congrats on the purchase. Welcome to the forum. I think you made a good decision, but could either have really been bad? :spyder:

Considering 2023 RT base vs 2023 RT Sea to Sky - is the S2S worth it?

As stated, if you can get what you want, just do it. $4K can be spent quickly or slowly as add-ons to get what you can get out of the box with the S2S. If you're particular to OEM, you'll probably spend more trying to get the same add-ons put on the base RT unless you get them from a private...

Rear Riken Raptor installed. Thanks for the recommendation :)

Searching for a Dash Camera for Spyder/Ryker - your thoughts?

I don't have a dashcam. I do have the Insta360 RS One mounted on my handle bar. It's not a "cheap" option, but I really do like it. SgtRay has a footage from his on youtube https://youtu.be/Tlrip8uzWPc?si=TlCbrtH7QRtyvs1b

There seems to be an abundance of 2019 RT's selling - what gives?

Oh yeah, the floorboards are different as well.

There seems to be an abundance of 2019 RT's selling - what gives?

2019 isn't bad, but being that we're in 2024, I'd personally go for the newer model if it's in my budget. 13K miles really is low. That's averaging less than 5K miles per year. I do believe there are major differences in storage if you go with the RT Limited. The top case is better(in my...
