• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a problem with Dishonest Dealers!

During the Great Recession of 2009 many new car dealerships sales and service customers in my area flat out quit coming in. Sales of new and used vehicles came to a absolute halt on the high lines we sold. New car deliveries from the manufacturer went from daily to once every couple of months...

Double D Ring vs Ratchet Straps...What do you prefer?

I have a modular helmet with a double D. On this particular helmet I can leave the strap installed through the D-rings while placing or removing just by slacking off the strap. Not having to fumble around trying deal with it blindly has made my life with it more enjoyable. Can’t say for sure...

Sprocket Final Fix Update from Shawn Smoak

I find most of Shawn’s videos quite boring, uninformative and a few of his videos on Spyders in for repairs to be in the shop torn apart for an extended time period. When you have all of the Tupperware off the Spyder and the wiring harnesses exposed as much as they can be fault tracing should be...

I have a problem with Dishonest Dealers!

I had the unfortunate luck of having to work with about 4-5 unscrupulous people among the hundreds I had been associated with over the long course of my career. They get caught and that bad apple’s taste for the easy money puts him out of a career as word quickly spread in the industry. I’m sure...

Any TPMS recommendatons that include a monitor?

I measure and fill it 3x per year, consider that checking regularly and have yet to find it lower than 2-3 psi ever. How many times must I check it to be considered a regular rider? By the way, I have no other vehicle than my Spyder available to me. My wife and I have 2 Spyders and one car that...

Any TPMS recommendatons that include a monitor?

Pete, do you have a TPMS on your Spyder? If keeping your tire pressure set to the exacting specifications at all times is so vital how do you access the tire valves to add air with your physical limitations and at what point of loss do you address the problem? How often is this needed in your...

Any TPMS recommendatons that include a monitor?

Peter, thank you for considering my comments and I welcome any and all replies to my comments and cede your point. IMO, Motorcycles aren’t subject to constant temperature rises and drops below freezing that could change pressures during seasonal changes. Tire pressure loss just isn’t that common...

Any TPMS recommendatons that include a monitor?

Why would a TPMS be a concern on a motorcycle? To me it seems as useful as a lamp outage module. Shouldn’t we all be doing a walk around inspection before hitting the road? If I was worried about getting a flat tire on the road I think having something to repair the puncture and reinflate the...

1st Ryker service, what do they do?

Every dealership is going to be different. There is going to be a fairly high price on the BRP oil and filter, figure an hour labor rate and add in shop fees, oil disposal and your at $360. Maybe they will be nice and check your tire pressure and fill your blinker fluid?

    Winterize? Or leave it be?

I live in Chicagoland and store my Spyders inside my attached and unheated garage. I never use any fuel stabilizer treatments because I do not believe they work or are needed. I always run Top Tier Premium Fuel at 93 octane. I fill my tank with fresh gasoline to top it up and connect my Noco...

Will Delayed 2022 Orders Come As 2023?

Darkside, What information were you able to obtain from your dealer? They will learn when the bike has a VIN number and when it’s scheduled for delivery to them. I ordered my 22 RTL January 27, 2022 and took delivery of it September 24th. When it arrived it was missing two parts and they came in...

Brand New 2022 RT Limited with Issues !!!

My wife and I picked up our 22 RT Limited yesterday from an out of State dealership that I placed my order back in January. In the time it took you to write and post this complaint we had already performed all our checks, tests and was ready for the test drive before signing over my check to...

    Can-Am didn't get the memo I guess - 2023 Electric Motorcycles release....

Did you see in the news that California wants to ban all diesel trucks because they’re racist? I’m not making this up. Not only will you own nothing, you will not have any food or clothing.

    Anyone tried other spark plugs?

I have no claim to inside knowledge at BRP engineering or the pencil pushers making their financial decisions. My question to you is there another “motorcycle tire” equivalent or better than the Kenda? I’m not talking car tires, strictly motorcycle. Something a Motorcycle manufacturer would look...

    Anyone tried other spark plugs?

Do you have professional experience across a wide amount of engines and manufacturers? There is quite a difference in aftermarket parts versus OEM. The comments I left are by a professional factory trained Master Automotive Technician with 35 years experience working in dealerships. I was a full...

    Anyone tried other spark plugs?

As a long time automotive technician working at new car dealership service departments I quickly learned that the spark plugs and ignition equipment is all tuned by the engineers to certain parts. Spark plugs are built to operate at a specific heat range and resistance. If you change brands the...

How many 2022 Spyders Coming?? Shout if you've ordered/got one!

Well the bike has arrived and was uncrated by the dealer only to find a missing windshield motor and reverse module. I guess BRP is still in a trick bag with its suppliers. Oh well, I need to clean up the garage anyway.
