• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Jacket or No Jacket in Hot Weather - Which is Cooler?

I agree. I like the Mesh Tech jackets. Take the liner out and you get nice air flow and you still have the armor for some protection.

    considering on buying a spyder

:welcome: I have a 2014 ST-L and have had no issues with it. Just keep in mind.....you go to any motorcycle or car internet forum...all issues are amplified. It is still a small % of any product that has issues. The Spyders are expensive to maintain so I would suggest doing the maintenance...

To Steve (BRPcare) about DESS issues

While I agree with you completely.... the concerns here are a little different. There is the worry of operating a untrustworthy vehicle. It would be like going on a vacation with very bald tires...or going on a cross country trip with a 27 year old car with mechanical issues.... you never know...

To Steve (BRPcare) about DESS issues

This is what I was thinking. There are so many RF signals in different locations, even at your home that you are not even aware of. If these signals are stronger than or interfere with the key chip.....maybe that causes the problem. Sounds like the best fix would be a total bypass of the DESS...

    Engine Replacement

Since the 998 was still in production....you would think they would have some. I thought there was some federal regulation that each and every item that goes into any production vehicle had to have 10 years of spare parts available. Hummmm....

    Paint finish.

I am very impressed with my Spyder, the look, paint color and so on. However, the paint quality is not as good as the Japenese bikes....that tend to be perfect. Mine has a few paint runs, thin paint, some plastic deburring not completed. For the price of these :spyder2: , paint should be...
