• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Terrible gas mileage

The "do's and do not's" do not tell you to shift at 4400 rpm's. If you re-read, for the 998 engine, you will see it says to shift at a much higher rpm and not to let it run below 4300 rpm's. Not sure where you got the 4400 from. If the engine is new, mileage will improve after its break-in...

Spyders riding in groups with motorcycles?

With all due respect... this thread just reminded me of why I no longer participate in large group rides.:yikes:

Does ECO mode actually effect throttling?

Given the, seemingly endless, threads on those trying to save a few dollars per fill-up by using less expensive gas, or threads on fuel mileage comparisons, it shouldn't be a surprise an ECO Mode is available. Personally, I would be surprised if I would ever use it...

Rattigan Roger's "Next" confusion is catching

I have to agree with you on your view of "next". LOL! While not near as annoying as "next"; but I have trouble with Christmas Eve. When someone tells me they will arrive Christmas Eve, I take them literally and expect them to arrive in the evening of the 24th -- NOT in the morning. My sister...

    Headlight Modulator?

For what it is worth... Page 80 of my RTS manual states the following below. To Be More Visible to Other Motorists Lighting and Reflectors Make sure that the headlights, running lights and tail lights on your vehicle work properly. Your vehicle is equipped with reflectors on the fenders...

E15 , got this back in response to my asking him to not to support the new E15 rules

While this was posted in the wrong thread, I certainly do not see anything wrong with it. JMHO Ethanol fuel additive, and most particularly E-15 is a very hot topic on just about any motorcycle, boating, and other recreational motor product site. It is a known fact E-15 will be harmful to each...

E15 , got this back in response to my asking him to not to support the new E15 rules

Seriously? Here are the facts on Kansas real estate taxes straight from the state's own website. Seems to me agri-land pays some of the highest rates in your state. Only utility use pays a higher rate. According to Kansas statute, real property is land and all buildings, fixtures...

44 years ago today since he's been gone

My visit to his grave in Renton, WA in June 2013. I was in the area, and just had to go see him. It took me hours out of my way, but I am glad I went for my own reasons...

    MSF Safety Course

I hate to say this, but there is inconsistency in these courses due to the instructors... Believe me. A dear friend is certified to teach all courses by the MFS, Harley's Riders Edge, and motor police. He has agreed. There is a curriculum for each to be followed, however some instructors...

    Missing at low rpm

With all due respect and food for thought for those interested regarding cat-bypass modifications; here is a link to the Federal Law:http://www.epa.gov/air/caa/title2.html The Federal Law takes precedence over any state law regarding vehicle components related to Federal EPA standards of the...

Hopefully it will solve the problem. It seems to be the most logical solution given your problems. Will be interested to see how it turns out.

RT 622 trailer protective film yellowing

That looks excellent and is exactly what I have been contemplating doing. Would you share a couple things? Was this simply taped-off? What specific tape was used to tape-off? What specific brand of bed-liner product did you use? How much of the product was needed to do this? I appreciate...

**** "DO'S & DO NOTS" for NEW SPYDER OWNERS... ****

After a while you will no longer need the information, as it will become second-nature to you. However, one piece of valuable information is the download of codes and how to access them. Whether you download the pdf document to print, or subscribe to Roger's smart-phone app you will eventually...

**** "DO'S & DO NOTS" for NEW SPYDER OWNERS... ****

A service manual is available for the Spyder. I do believe you need to go to the web to find it though. I apologize in not knowing exactly where to get one, but I bought mine online. If you google for it you will typically find a couple vendors; of which most often both will be the same...

    Introducing the 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3!

As I stated before, I like the new direction... without a doubt. However, is it me or does the tail light unit look like an after-thought? It sticks-out from the fender in a peculiar way, which does not appeal to me. So... I see an opportunity for the after-market-guys (and gals) to come up...

    spyder to car communications

2015 F3 - No Camo Pics - Things are looking up!

I really could not agree more... For those not liking the front-end, I can see your point; however the new look is no longer a jet-ski or snowmobile look; which was beginning to be a turn-off for the broader consumer market opinion.
