• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hope BRP are reading our threads and listens (WAKE UP BRP REPRESENTATIVES)

Thanks AK ... Pete I was told that somewhere in the 7 - 12 % range is the replacement / failure rate for the handle bar control modules. A figure that is too high for a multi-function switch on a motor vehicle of any type. If it were your blinkers in your Class A or GMC, you'd have a recall...

Hope BRP are reading our threads and listens (WAKE UP BRP REPRESENTATIVES)

As one who has suffered the troubles of a failed handle bar control assembly, I echo what has been stated above. Although BRP does troll this site, #1 call customer care - you stated that your trike is under warranty and that means the dealer is going to BRP for the warranty parts. BRP has...

    Hypothetical question

I was thinking the parachute gets deployed but I am glad that I was wrong. :yikes: In all seriousness - if there is one area where CanAm has excelled / overachieved is safety. From the overrides like the one discussed in this thread, to the safety card, to the nanny and multiple others.

    Cold weather ride

Cold today was 38F. My 2018 RTL sat in the driveway for about 15 minutes 'warming'. Engine temp gauge moved towards mid-range. Took off and it dropped like a rock. I'd have to say that seems to be a "normal" response. However .... the ambient temp indicator .. lies. It went from 38F to...

    Ryker Tourer?

I have others use something as simple as https://www.crampbuster.com/ .... I cannot personally vouch for it. I had a Kuryakyn Throttle Boss (mechanical level type) cruise on a previous bike. Worked well.

    Test Pilots Needed...

I would love to be a test pilot as I am always looking for a little extra in the performance department - regardless of how much I have. However with the holidays and this dreaded wet weather, I am not sure that I am your ideal candidate. However I do have a question - in building a better...

    passenger armrests idea

This might seem slightly askew of the direction you were going BUT ... here goes. Like your wife, I have a horrible neck, more metal than bone. Riding on two, three or four wheels was uncomfortable at best. Yes being the driver provided a different sensation but it was all negative. In fact...

Update on my RT instrument cluster problem

I do not know about GA but most state have either laws or guidelines regarding changing out an odometer. I know that here in the 'Democratic People's Republic of Maryland' an odometer change comes with a "Certificate of Actual Mileage". Supposedly it becomes part of the legal documentation for...

    Spyder Sightings

SpdrDvr - I can be spotted in Virginia Beach tomorrow 10/31 and 11/1. Have to take advantage of the weather to add some miles to the odometer and see some family - and maybe visit some lonely vintage aircraft too.

    THIS MAKES ME MAD!!

Warning - Rant Below This country that I love and have defended my entire life (from military dependent, to military retiree, to retired DoD contractor) has really gone to hell in a hand-basket when it comes to redistributing everything. I always was of the belief that everyone pays their...

    THIS MAKES ME MAD!!

The coming to the US on a "deliver your baby mission" is in fact a problem. But the problem extends far from that. We are a country of limited resources (whether you believe it or not). Limited in available funding, manpower and ability. Those allowing the unchecked "baby dumping for...

    Squeaky Rear End

Same here .... I have been b!t(#ing about this since the day after I took delivery. My saga started the day after I took delivery. Got on the RTL and a "spring / suspension squeak" came from the rear end. I bounced on the foot pegs .... "squeak, squeak, squeak." Went to the dealer, and...

My Spyder saved me from DEATH

Darren, Glad to hear that you are alive and as well as can be after your indecent. I think that the two worst motorbike accidents I have witnessed were in England. One on the a A59 near Blubberhouses and the second on B6451 near our house in Lindley. The first wasn't so "innocent" -...

    Shipping company???

I figured out your shipping problem. It is not the shippers. It is where you're shipping it to. No one in their right mind would want to come here - even on a temporary basis.

    Going from Goldwing to Spyder

After just over three months and 6000 miles on my 2018 RTL, I will honestly say that I still have some 'confused signals" about it. First - I am just thankful to be riding again. I do like riding the Spyder and maybe more importantly, so does my wife. She was never comfortable on my old...

    SENA 20s???

We have the Sena 20s and like them very much. In the past we rode without the ability to communicate ... that is the "point and explain later method" didn't work well. With the 20s, we can talk when we want to, listen to our music individually. Being that I have a 2018 RTL with the BRP...
