• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2012 Spyder RT Limited - Looking for acceessories

As others have stated, pretty well all of the "important vendors" are Spyderlover.com sponsors. If you go to the Home page and browse through each and every sponsor (click on their banners) you will soon find out just how many aftermarket items are for sale for the RT. I also found that doing...

Parking Brake Pulley Re-seating the parking brake cable on the pulley is fairly simple....but only after once you have removed the mirror, lower deflector, mid, upper and lower panels on the right side of the bike.:banghead: It sounds like you have the SE5 transmission and the bike will...

    Different interests…..

Over the past few years Lamont has added a number of additional sections to the forum in an attempt to try and group similar posts into the same area. Maybe it is time to consider creating a Touring specific section where people can add stories of their Spyder touring experiences. I am sure...

    Air Deflectors

Two thumbs up for the Baker Air Wings. I installed these several years ago and they do provide a great deal of extra air flow for the driver. I also recently installed a vent in the windshield, but haven't experienced warm temperatures to comment. Quite a few people remove their lower wind...

    Plugs and Wires

Just completed this task a few weeks back. A service manual is very helpful in detailing the removal of panels to do this job. Although it is not really necessary to remove the complete air box, removing the top of the air box and loosening the bottom allowed me more room to remove the front...

    Problem with RT622

Same thing happened to me at 60 miles per hour on a busy freeway. The bearing seized and the noise of the tire exploding immediately alerted me to the problem. Out in the middle of nowhere at the time and 50 kms from my dealers shop. :banghead: Ironically, the owner of the dealership just...

While at East TN ATV picking up my ST-S...

Absolutely nothing to do with Canadian Taxes or the exchange rate between the U.S. & Canadian dollar. The price of a Can Am Spyder and accessories has always been approximately 15% more in Canada than the U.S., and this marketing strategy by BRP will not be changing anytime soon. It has...

What is a good method or solvent to remove 3M double sided tape?

I use the low setting on a heat gun to gradually melt the adhesive and break the bond between the item I wish to remove and the surface it is stuck to. Once the bond begins to weaken I continue to apply heat and gently peel the item away using a plastic spatula, credit card or other non marring...

    2013 Windshield Change

Vent Install I positioned the vent in an area of the windshield that I thought would work best for me. (See attached picture of the windshield with the vent installed) You could position it lower, but for me I found optimal air flow at the position I chose. Here is a link that includes the...

Getting by on the cheap The new BRP vented windshield mentioned above is sweet. Definitely worth a serious consideration if the price isn't too steep for your budget. i just finished installing a windshield vent in my 2010. Purchased a GL1800 windshield clear vent, cut the hole in the...
