• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Electrical and Oil Pressure Gauges

I did get a response from Pro Sports Gauges. They sails simply the gauges were neither waterproof nor water resistant. That kind of kills these for me. Guess I will continue to look. Great posts on the pressure sensor installation. That has been a concern of mine since I would not consider...

    Funny thing on the Spyder

Transformer is the first thing we thought of when we purchased ours. That is what we call it it often. :roflmao: It does look like it could easily morph into a robot or something. :) BitSlayer Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

    Mounting a Zumo up high

Perfect! That is what I was looking for. I will let you know how it goes. I ordered the Ram parts tonight. Hopefully this heat will let up a little to let me get out and do this. Outside, or in a garage, at 111 in Oklahoma is no fun. :( Thanks again for digging that up. BitSlayer Sent from...

    Electrical and Oil Pressure Gauges

Thanks all for the help. Sounds like the sending unit may be a bit tricky, but manageable. I assume you installed the pressure sensor while you were changing the oil? I am concerned about the water tightness of these though, being fully electronic and all. Did you verify if they were water...

    Mounting a Zumo up high

Thanks, SpyderMan, that is what I was hoping to hear. How much of the tupperware did you have to take off to get the cable rerouted? Sorry if this is in this thread, but I looked and did not see it. Did you have to take off the side panel, front facia, windshield, windshield mount and the top...

    Mounting a Zumo up high

OK, I know this thread has not been active for a bit, but wanted to ask a question. From what I have read, you have been able to use the BRP wiring harness to reroute from the handlebars up to the dash. There is enough slack in the BRP harness for that? Is there a preferred routing path? I...

    Digital fuel guage

Here is a post about what I am looking at. I have a couple of questions about them on this post: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?42474-Electrical-and-Oil-Pressure-Gauges They look nice and would fit my needs well, but the water does concern me.

    Electrical and Oil Pressure Gauges

All, I am thinking about pulling the analog gas and water temp gauges and replacing them with voltage and oil pressure gauges. The ones I have found are prosport EVO series gauges but I cannot find any information about whether they are, at a minimum, water resistant if not water proof. Also...

Missing - Joke Forum, so I'll just start a thread.

BUBBA'S NEW TRUCK One day, Jimmy Joe was walking down Main Street when he saw his buddy Bubba driving a brand new pickup. Bubba pulled up to him with a wide grin "Bubba, where'd you get that truck?!?" "Bobby Sue gave it to me" Bubba replied. "She gave it to you? I knew she was kinda sweet on...

    Right vent outlet grille gone?

:agree: Well said. I is amazing that all I thought about when the dealer was going over the delivery was "get out of the way so I can take this out on a ryde". :roflblack: He could have told me anything and I would have probably not really have heard him. The Spyder is an amazing machine that...

    Right vent outlet grille gone?

I did the same. Took a ride to the dealer and talked to my salesman. He was surprised as well and we took a look at several, 2 or 3, on the showroom and none of them had it either. He also called service and confirmed. It does look odd though. I have considered an aftermarket chrome screen...

    Natchez Trace Parkway

Neither have we. That is why I appreciate you starting this thread. Already some good suggestions. I am also curious about the length of the ride including normal side trips and stops. I was planning 2 days, just to take it slow and enjoy the scenery. Maybe that is too much for a 400 mile...

    Natchez Trace Parkway

SpyderBirds, thanks for starting this thread. We are considering this as a fall trip on October. Hoping to get in some color changes while we ryde it. Was planning on doing it from south to north as that is how the NPS covers it in their brochures. Have you checked out the NPS site for NTP...

    Roadtrip: Texas to Colorado

As others have said, gas can be a scarce commodity. If you are planning on taking the western Oklahoman and Kansas route, towns are far apart and some will not have gas stations in them. Take an extra can of gas with you just in case. It is always better to have it and not need it than need...

    Radio Problem

I had the radio water intrusion fix applied sometime back. They also checked all of the BUDS updates and applied what was needed. I have not noticed any issues with my radio fading in and out. I would agree with harrypottar that there may be a grounding issue going on. If the volume fades in...

    Highway driving

:agree: with Scotty. I have had no problems with my RT and wind effects. I have passed semis in both directions, both on interstates and 2-lane roads. The buffeting is minimal and I have never had a concern with losing control. I have also ridden in some of Oklahoma's side winds and again...
