• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Why did you buy your Spyder

Congratulations on the transplant. I had mine over 5 years ago (July 31, 2006) and my big brother was my donor.

Thanks, all! Bruiser hasn't really had a chance to look at it, but all of these ideas are great! That's why I asked the question on here!! :chat:

Why did you buy your Spyder

Never liked two wheels. Even though Bruiser is an excellent rider, wouldn't ride on his Vulcan. We got the Spyder RT in 2010, and after a while, I wasn't content to ride on the back all the time. Bruiser taught me how to ride, and now we have two Spyder RTs. Did try to take the motorcycle...

    MY RIGHT PANEL IS LOOSE!!!!

Bruiser noticed that the right panel on my Spyder is coming loose. He said it looks like the grommets are loose or something. Any suggestions on how to tighten it or what I (well, really he) needs to do to fix it. Thanks! :yikes:

    CARNAGE!

The problem with the scooters here is that the drivers don't need a license or have the scooters registered. That's why we call them 'liquor sickles' because so many of them lost their license for DUI/DWI, but they can still ride a scooter. Makes no sense. :hun::banghead:

    Cold Weather Riding

We started out this morning at about 50 degrees, so I 'layered up'. By the time lunchtime came around, the extra layers were coming off as it got to almost 80 degrees. Funny thing about NC - never can tell about the weather, even in one day!! nojoke

Sounds like a really good idea. That's why neither Bruiser nor I worry about what we post or that we're on here together.

Anyone ever hit a critter with the Spyder?

Hi! Answering for Bruiser and he said he did realize that. He also said it used to be "Strategic Air Command", but he calls it "Sadistic Air Command". I haven't hit anything and hope to never do that. At least we don't have skunks in this area, but lots of possums, squirrels and other...

I need some REALLY good advice...

As the CFO of this family, all money goes into one account. I do not think hiding money from each other is a good idea. It's called trust and the wedding vows of two becoming one. We've always been open and honest, and if either one of us wanted to buy something that may be a bit expensive...

    helmet communication

This is what we have, and had great communication to Lamont's and back. Being the 'follower', I have to have good communication with the leader (Bruiser), who is a more experienced rider and can let me know of anything ahead. We haven't tried the bluetooth, radio, etc., but were very happy the...
