• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Smoothspyder vs Roadster Renovations Belt Tensioners

This is my humble opinion, formed from having the Smooth Spyder tensioner on my RT for about 11,000 miles, and now have had Roadster Renovations on for close to 4,500 miles. The SS unit is a true belt tensioner, very similar to what is being used on todays cars, quite robust in construction...

Smoothspyder vs Roadster Renovations Belt Tensioners

Yes, I have a 2015 RT Limited, and took my Smooth Spyder tensioner off, after trying the one from Roadster Renovations. Doc Humphreys unit puts pressure on the top of the belt, weighs a lot less, and puts less pressure on the belt. And I think, it works a lot better. I've had it on almost...

    Rpm

The reason I asked was at 4500 /5000 rpm as he said he rides at, he would be close to 90/100 mph, not really vacations speeds. And now this is only my opinion, but the speedo on the 2015 RT Limited show a break in the line thickness that goes around the edge of the speed numbers at around...

    RT Vibration Damper Installation

I'd have to say, this tensioner (for want of a better term) got rid of vibrations I didn't know were there. My RT now goes down the road, and rides more like a car instead of a motorcycle. David

Not to be a smart a**, but would you kindly explain how down shifting (normally done not on the gas) is going to make you gas mileage worse? I believe the owners manual mentions down shifting manually. David

Advice on Voodoo Exhaust - Need Power Commander, etc?

Good luck to you. When putting things back together, it is much easier to install the top header pipe spring first, and then the two on the bottom.

Advice on Voodoo Exhaust - Need Power Commander, etc?

Install the muffler, start your Spyder and let it run for 15 minutes, shut if off and let it cool down. The next time you start it up it will be ready to ride, the computer self adjusts to compensate for the change. David

I ordered mine a week ago ( the 21st ) and they are in New York now. Getting close, can't wait. David Got mine on the 26th, took about 35 / 40 minutes to install them, after finding all the necessary tools. Really a cool idea, will come in handy in the long run. David

    Long Distance Trip Packing List

If you purchase Frogg Toggs from their web site, you can mix and match sets. That is, you can buy the top from one set, and the bottoms from a different set, to get what you want. All tops and bottoms do not have the same features. David
