• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Kill Switch vs. Fumble-Fingered Hank

Oh wow! I didn't know that. That's what makes this forum great. With a Spyder SE6, I thought you had to stop to restart. I'll try to remember that if my fumble-fingers return. Thanks much!

    Kill Switch vs. Fumble-Fingered Hank

Decided to play some hooky from my work and go on a nice morning ride while the weather is nice. I tried out my super-duper new winter gloves...a little bulky but very warm. Fumble-Fingered Hank accidentally hits the kill switch while reaching for the cruise control button....on the freeway...

    FOLLOWUP TO "I'M FED UP"

Wow Wowee! That Dealer just spit in your face, and in BRP's face also. I'll bet you anything the Dealership is planning on dropping the Spyder franchise. It sounds like they don't want to work on them, or work with BRP either, and they don't care who knows it. Did they cc BRP on...

    Another Farkle Question...Extended Brake Pedal

Yeah, that's what I thought from the pic of the larger brake pedal. I like to ride with my feet near the front of the floorboards, so that would be a problem. Thanks for the feedback!

    Another Farkle Question...Extended Brake Pedal

Oopsy...... Sorry, my original post may have been unclear. I was talking about the Full Size Brake Pedal, not the arm extension: http://www.lamonstergarage.com/show-chrome-full-size-brake-pedal-fits-all-can-am-spyders/

    Another Farkle Question...Extended Brake Pedal

I know, I know...It's only a $30 item. But, I was kind of worried about getting the tip of my riding boot stuck under the extended brake pedal. Any feedback from those who have used it? Hank

    Motorcycle Touring Maps

Thanks! Here is another one I use from time to time: http://www.motorcycleroads.com/ The trick to this website is you have to let your area of interest "load up"....and it takes some time. You might not see any routes at first, then in a couple of minutes you will see a bunch. Very handy...

    YAMAHA - 3

Nice! I like it.....I want it! I think it looks badazz-wicked. Depending on initial rider reviews, pricing, etc....you might see my 2017 RTS in the For Sale Section sometime next year. No joke!

    Motorcycle Touring Maps

I picked up a really good map of Motorcycle rides in the SE United States (picture attached). Have done a couple of the routes and they are really fun. They have maps for other areas of the U.S. at www.wildrides.info (no pdf's yet, you have to order them). I picked mine up at a local BBQ spot...

Pegasus to Mt. Cook - NZ Rides

I spent 2 months in NZ on a Honeymoon about 18 years ago....almost didn't come back. Went from North tip of N. Island to South tip of S. Island. Hiking, Mountain Climbing, stomping around on a glacier, River Rapids, Bungee Jumping, even a terrifying helicopter trip thru a narrow canyon. The...

Show Chrome Driver Backrest for RT.....any thoughts?

Yeah, I like the Utopia's also, larger pad and about the same price as the Show Chrome one. I'll figure out which one I want soon. Anything is better than the weightlifting belt I'm wearing while riding now! :(

Show Chrome Driver Backrest for RT.....any thoughts?

Big Bike Parts rep. guaranteed fitment of the 41-168A Show Chrome Driver Backrest onto a 2017 RT-S. Full refund if returned within 30 days. They are a pretty well-known parts supplier, so I see no harm in giving it a try. I'll line everything up for fitment before removing/cutting anything.

Show Chrome Driver Backrest for RT.....any thoughts?

Ok, I'll call Big Bike Parts (they make some of the attachment parts and sell the Backrest) and confirm it will work. Their PDF instructions have a diff path to follow if you have a 2014 or newer RT. It looks like I have to drill two holes in some of the plastic part of the seat pan, according...
