• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Low Fuel Warning Lamp Question

Maybe a kind of dumb question..... I have a 2017 RT-S with the analog gauges (i.e. the digital bar gauges for fuel and temp are overridden). Where does the low fuel warning lamp show up, and what does it look like? I have checked the Owners Manual several times and didn't see any description...

    2017 slingshot and 2010 RT SM5

I sometimes ride in a group that includes a girl in a slingshot. If you try to keep up with it in turns it will make you say :cus: , :cus::cus:, and possibly even :cus::cus::cus:. Then after you give up you will say :gaah:. I can tell you that my fragile male ego was destroyed by a 170 hp go...

    I'M FED UP

It's all over the recent news that the parent company of BRP's Aircraft Division is in huge anti-trust trouble, and their Rail Division just got snubbed on a merger try. I think Jose and all senior mgmt. might be a little distracted at the moment.

    Spyder Fire in NJ

It's sorta like looking at a Rorschach Ink Blot Test....you see what you wanna see. I see an outline of Kate Upton

    I'M FED UP

Well, the BRPCare Rep always seems to be on the Forum. Either they care enough to read about issues....or they are taking notes on troublemakers like me

    I'M FED UP

Not that I want to start a Major Uprising.....but has anyone considered using this forum to somehow send a Joint Letter of Concern directly to BRP about the dissatisfaction with their Dealership/Service system? I think a Joint Letter with the names of about 1,000 or so Spyder Owners might get...

    HD owners educate me

Idling and revving is what Harley-Davidson's do best :roflblack::roflblack: (and yes, I owned one for a long time) On another note, I had a group of sport-bikers go near my house last night. They had pipes so loud that they sounded like a hive of mutant bumble-bees from a Japanese monster...

I'm lucky to be alive to tell this story.......

Yes, this a lot of the "Behavior-Based Safety" crud that most major companies train with. I know, was forced to do some of the training :gaah:. The decision-tree for any accident or near-miss always comes back to...."It was your fault", no matter what the circumstances. Like someone else said...

I guess I could also add Unsolicited Advice #5: When you have a near-miss, pull over after you are clear. I was absolutely Unfit for Duty for a full 20 mins after my encounter. :chill:

Yes, there is a very old saying that takes on new meaning for me today: "Never ride faster than your Guardian Angel can Fly"

Advice and suggestions for curves and Twisties?

I have found that yelling "Woo Hooo!!" inside my full-face helmet helps me thru the twisties.:clap::yes:

Most of you probably won’t read thru this very long post, but I figured I would post this in the odd chance it may help even ONE of you stay alive….because I came very close to taking the “Forever Dirt Nap” on a recent ride. On Sunday 9/24/17 I was taking a morning ride just to enjoy a short...

New bikes - what they could have done better

I guess I'm just not understanding all the negativity since the 2018 lineup announcement. I love my Spyder, I have met lots of new riders (2 and 3 wheel) while I'm out and about, and I pretty much smile inside my helmet the entire time I'm on a ride. I believe I got my money's worth....plus. :)

    Other peoples reaction

Yeah, a couple of my Harley buddies gave me that crap....until I carved thru some twisties and left them as little specks in my rear-view mirrors. :ohyea:But, then a girl on a slingshot made me look humble :gaah:. Man, those slingshots can corner!
