• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Two Limp Homes on 3-10-2016

Follow-up on Limp Home I e-mailed the service tech: Hi Billy; I'm having trouble understanding the resolution. My codes were U0073 and C006C. Would you be able to tell me if these involve ECM, Can Bus, and or VSS? Or are the codes related to shifting issues which I have not noticed or...

LITHIUM - ION -PHOSPHATE Batteries from Deltran

Battery longevity in Spyder I got a BUDS report yesterday on a different subject, and the service manager mentioned "18 occurrences of a low battery/low voltage". The manufacturing date is listed as 2013-11-01. I might be in the market for a battery and will come back to this topic. Thanks...

    Two Limp Homes on 3-10-2016

Off to Marietta Motorsports Although the limp home presented this morning, it was all clear for the 6 miles to the dealer. They said a couple of business days before they diagnose the problem. I knew an electrical/mechanical failure might occur before the purchase but decided to go for it...

    Two Limp Homes on 3-10-2016

That didn't take long - U0073 and C006C Decided to ride a few miles and pay attention to how close my foot is to the brake pedal - very close, but that is not the problem, unfortunately. Got about 4.7 miles when the limp code presented. Pulled into next street and the horn blared very...

    Two Limp Homes on 3-10-2016

I'll keep riding - with some apprehension Thanks all. It might be a while until another failure or it could happen today. I read several posts about the limp mode, and one poster said he was limited to 58 miles per hour. I could sure live with that instead of calling AAA or my son to come get...

    Two Limp Homes on 3-10-2016

I began a ride of about 600 miles yesterday. That was the plan. I got 2 limp homes at around the 160 mile mark. I'm trying to get some understanding of causes, and try the ride again ASAP. I've read lots of the limp home accounts and wonder if anyone can recognize what I may have done to cause...

    Antenna removal

You Be Right! I parked too close to my garage door and my antenna was sheared last week. It's not much of a loss for me since I seldom attempt to listen to my awful audio. I sometimes increase the volume from zero to non-zero while sitting at a traffic signal, but that's it.

    Another One For The Books

That's too much Much worse than the problems we have around here. I hand deliver neighbor's mail that is placed in my box, and they do the same for me. Around 5 pm when the carrier wants to go home they have used reasons for non-delivery that include no such address and no code for the access...

Need a good Spyder Mechanic in Metro Atlanta Area to have upgrades done on my Bike

A pleasant experience I really enjoyed hanging out and chatting with the staff. I got a better price from Marietta for mounting a rear tire and a much better price for the sway bar in Cartersville. Guess it helps to shop, but nothing is cheap with Spyders. I'm sorry Mike had such a bad...

Need a good Spyder Mechanic in Metro Atlanta Area to have upgrades done on my Bike

Got the BajaRon sway bar Ordered it last Friday, and got it Monday. Called Extreme Propulsion on Tuesday and set up for install at 2 pm that day. They started at 2 and were finished by 3:50, and I started home before the rain. It was very windy going up and I really got blown around. Coming...

OP sorry for the hijack Hope you find the mechanic you are seeking. Mike above is not happy with Extreme Propulsion, and Tommy Blackwell on this forum is very pleased with them. They were great for me. -Bill

Need a good Spyder Mechanic in Metro Atlanta Area to have upgrades done on my Bike

Hey Cavman, I was thru Menlo yesterday on a winter rally. You got a great area to live. Brian Kay from Kennesaw and I are trying to decide whether to try the install ourselves or get it done in Cartersville. He already has the bar and instructions and mine are on the way. How many concrete...

Need a good Spyder Mechanic in Metro Atlanta Area to have upgrades done on my Bike

Thanks John I rode thru Cartersville yesterday on my way to Adairsville and Resaca. Stopped by and spoke to Paula Holliday who remembered you. She thinks you got an RT sway bar instead of the BajaRon which costs more probably because of the links on the BajaRon. Maybe your bar did not include...

Need a good Spyder Mechanic in Metro Atlanta Area to have upgrades done on my Bike

I'll call them JKM - you ride a good way from Murphy to Cartersville. I wonder if they installed your bar for $100 and quoted Brian above $200 because you bought your new ride from them and it was part of the deal? Can you supply the name of the tech you used and I'll give them a call, and...

Need a good Spyder Mechanic in Metro Atlanta Area to have upgrades done on my Bike

Sounds good Brian I have a Goodyear motorcycle jack rated for 1500 pounds. The rails on the jack are just barely narrow enough to lift my Spyder, so I got ramps to get it high enough for the oil change. My son is next door to me (on the same property) and has an extra garage in his basement...
