• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks, Mike, I'll wire the latch open.

    Cannot Raise Seat

OOPS I hesitate to admit that I was turning the key counter-clockwise because that would make me look stupid. OK, I admit it. Just turned it clockwise just as the picture on the ignition shows and the seat will raise. Wonder how long it would have taken me to realize my mistake? Thanks all...

    Cannot Raise Seat

Thanks, Chris, I think the Corbin seat has the same mechanism as the Spyder - a pin attached to the seat that goes into a slot connected by cable to the ignition key. I'm wondering how to get to the cable and the slot mechanism. I'll keep trying pushing down on the seat.

    Cannot Raise Seat

I've got a 2014 RTS with a Corbin seat which I am unable to raise. There is a side door for fueling so I'm not stranded. This just started yesterday and has always worked. I changed the oil and filter last week and checked the oil level 3 days ago, and had no problem with the seat. When I...

Referral Fee of $300 to Help Sell My Spyder

Good Luck Good luck on the sale and on the move. Hope all goes well. My daughter came to live with me when she was 13, and I was not permitted to register her in the local high school until I had the official custody agreement from the court in an adjoining county. This was unexpected, and it...

    no ethonol gas

Found a local Pure Gas retailer Probably more of a distributor but they have a retail window. Park, walk up steps, ride to the pump, accept the hose from the attendant, fill up, go back to the retail window and pay. They have 90 octane without ethanol, and are 7 miles from the house. There is...

    spot how many use it

Spotwalla is an application that takes your data from Spot and displays it on a map. I haven't used Spot or Spotwalla in 3 years so each may have been improved since then.

    spot how many use it

Not a Current User I used SPOT 6 or 7 years ago but have let my subscription expire. I used https://spotwalla.com/index.php which grabs trips from SPOT and makes it easier for others to view your trips. I think spotwalla uses the bubbler gps but haven't investigated that yet. I suspect it is...

    no ethonol gas

We are instructed to use premium for our Spyders. The no-ethanol stations I have seen have only one grade of fuel. I take it from these comments that the no-ethanol grade is OK? -Bill

    Drilling the Spyder key- video

Aw Shucks Moment I thought about drilling mine when I had an Aw Shucks Moment. I left the key in some jeans, ran them through the washer/dryer, and thought the key would be ruined. It works fine. I guess the outer covering provides some water protection, or else water does not ruin the chip...

    Highway. Pegs

Same Concerns I have the same concerns, but will eventually be forced to get highway pegs, which I will only use when away from traffic. I am also much more cautious already in intersections to accommodate for some of the delay in getting my foot to the single brake. I also added a full size...

Spyders In The Ozarks-Dates and Host Hotel is set!

Sounds Great - I'm in. I've tried a couple of times to ride route 7 in Arkansas, and it just didn't happen both times. Maybe this time. My friend Brenda and I flew to Denver, bought a Forester XT last year and meandered back to Georgia. We spent one night in Branson and I thought a very nice...

    Another mpg thread

I reset the B trip meter at fill ups and the A trip meter for each trip. Don't pay much attention to the fuel gauge until around 1/4 left where it drops very quickly. At 1/4 I display the B trip meter, knowing I'll get around 200 miles per tank and plan to get fuel around 180 miles. There is a...

    Question on clunk of transmission

I read each of these posts about the clunk in the transmission. The consensus appears to be 'normal' which I interpret to be normal for a Spyder. Compared to the 6 motorcycles I have enjoyed this century the Spyder is very noisy. I did have a new 1982 GL1100 that was pretty noisy until I changed...
