• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where did all my oil go?

Interesting that I come across this thread today. I was planning to start a new thread with my question, but this thread seems to be addressing it already. I had just been wondering how often most of you check your oil level? That's because the "DO's and DON'Ts listed on this site include a...

Drive From East Coast to Alberta CA?

We've got reservations for a week in the Banff/Jasper area around the end of July and will be driving from the East Coast (because I won't fly anymore). Although we aren't planning on seeing any specific sights on the way, we are open to one or two side trips along the way to view some nice...

Admore Smart Brake Light Bar on an F3-T?

Good to hear that you got it to work - at least functional enough to satisfy you. I don't really care about it functioning as a turn signal either. The way it's working for you would be fine with me too. However - I don't like that its mounted so low (above the license plate) and wouldn't...

Admore Smart Brake Light Bar on an F3-T?

Thanks so much for this info! Interesting that Admore lists wiring specifics for the Spyder and tout that it's CanBus-compatible, yet it doesn't work for you. I'll steer clear of it now. Sorry for your experience, and I hope that you got a refund. Thanks, again!

Admore Smart Brake Light Bar on an F3-T?

Just wondering whether anyone has ever installed one of these Admore Smart Brake Lights on their F3-T? I like the idea, but I don't know how easy it would be to install or even where to install it. Ideally, I'd like it placed as high as possible (ie - right between the F3-T's brake lights)...

    New purchase input

Lots of good advice offered in this thread. But, IMO, it comes down to ergonomics. Which one is most comfortable for you?

    Portable GPS Questions

Well, FWIW, I ordered a TomTom Rider 550. Should have it in about a week. Thanks for all the info, everyone!

    Portable GPS Questions

Yeah, That's the one that I had been looking at on Amazon. I'm just not sure about how to wire it for power .... (I'm not much of a DIYer - especially when it comes to power/electronics. :opps: )

    Portable GPS Questions

Well, I was hoping to run a GPS off of USB power that I have available on my Spyder already. Or at least have the USB power maintain the charge on the GPS (while the GPS is in use). I'd just rather not settle for a GPS possibly running out of juice before my ride is over. :dontknow:

    Portable GPS Questions

Yup - Looks like a great unit but ---- I'm not sure whether it can run off of (not just be charged from) the Spyder's USB power and it certainly is PRICEY (Yikes !!!)

    Portable GPS Questions

I've tried using my portable GPS (which was bought for use with my car a few years ago) with my Spyder and it fails miserably. Out in the open sunshine, the screen is simply unreadable, and because I usually wear a mesh black and yellow reflective vest, all I see is black and yellow on the GPS...

Going From Stock Tires to (Non-OEM) Car Tires?

I went one better and dropped the fronts to 19. Tried it out for 35 miles and it does seem to help make the overall ride smoother. Thanks!

Questions About Adjustable Rear Air Shock - F3-T (NOT Limited)

MUCH BETTER! Yup -- you were right. If there was any air in it, it was only a pound or two. I filled it to 30 psi and immediately noticed a difference in ride. :2thumbs: That and lowering my fronts OEM tires to 19 psi really seems to help. Thanks everyone!

    CAN-AM SPYDER RIDER EDUCATION PROGRAM

Thanks very much for the update on this course, since I called on Thursday and was told it was full. Based on what you say about the instructor's knowledge and experience, and what was and wasn't covered, I'm glad that they told me it was full and that I could not get in. It sounds to me like...

Questions About Adjustable Rear Air Shock - F3-T (NOT Limited)

Based on feedback to a question on another thread, leads me to have to ask a basic question about my 2016 F3-T (NOT Limited). Does my F3-T have an adjustable rear air shock or does it not? If so, where/how do I access it (ie - fill it up)? A quick look at the online operator's manual yielded...

Going From Stock Tires to (Non-OEM) Car Tires?

Now THAT'S (Fitbit) an original way of measuring ride comfort! Thanks for your input. Actually, my back hurts almost all the time (riding or not), so that doesn't help matters either, I guess. And you're certainly correct that I'm not used to riding 400 miles in a day (much of them twisties...

Going From Stock Tires to (Non-OEM) Car Tires?

Could you elaborate a bit on what's included in "every respect"? BTW - I already have the BajaRon swaybar installed and had my spyder laser aligned last September at Spyderquest. Perhaps it's time for another alignment? (Or get car tires installed at the same time as alignment?).

Going From Stock Tires to (Non-OEM) Car Tires?

Sorry for yet another question about tires...... But I'm curious to hear, from those who went from stock to car tires, what differences did you feel (if any) in performance, and how quickly did you notice the difference?. I know that a good car tire should last significantly longer than the...

    Let's Talk Horns....

I've found discussions here on SL on just about every conceivable Spyder (and other) topic, but don't recall any discussion about horns. FWIW - I find the horn on my F3T pretty anemic. I'm not looking to wake up the world and I'm not looking for something obnoxious, but I think getting a...
