• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After User reports on Vredestein Quatrac 5 tires?

I put the Q5's all around on mine. I'm guessing they had some kind of preservative on them as they didn't impress me at first and the rear kept breaking loose. After some few miles - maybe 30-40, they're much better. I originally had the OEM Kendas on the front and a Kumho on the rear. It's...

How can I mount an oxygen generator on a Spyder?

The ones I've seen use batteries. If you're wanting to run it off the tryke, you'll want to watch the draw, those things pull a decent amount if I recall, but it's been a while since I looked at one. As far as mounting it - do you usually have a passenger? The horizontal rack isn't a bad...

    Converting a SM6 to a SE6

Yeah, I haven't hit that age yet. But then my brother is 64 this year and is far worse than I am. The experiment with the spyder hasn't worked out anyway, so I'm hoping it'll be gone soon and I can move on o something else.

    Converting a SM6 to a SE6

Wow, thanks for pointing that out, I wasn't sure what that thing was for. And here I've been driving around in first all time and wondering why my mpg was so bad.:roflblack: No, actually I can't do "exactly" what I'd do with a manual. Sometimes, for no particular reason, I'll wind out first...

    Converting a SM6 to a SE6

I wish I'd have bought the SM6 myself, not in love with the SE. It works well enough, but for me I think I'd prefer the manual. If she's still looking fir an RT with SE6, send her my way.

    RT 1330 MPG ??

I guess I'm not seeing the "gripe" about mpg with the Spyder. I've been getting around 35mpg average which is over twice what my 09 Ram gets average doing much the same driving. My brother has an '05 1800 'Wing and gets around the same mpg as I do. Mind you he's a pretty aggressive rider, but...

    Starting Changed?

Since I got mine used a little over a year ago, I can't say if the ECM is upgraded or not. I know the gauge cluster was swapped out before I got it. It hasn't been to the dealer since I bought it. I'd have to look to see what time it was built.

    Starting Changed?

Hmm, that's not what happens on my '14 - as soon as Can-Am shows up, I hit mode and start and off it goes. This is first start in the morning.

    Starting Changed?

Nope. But on my '14 I don't have to wait - as soon as the display lights up I can hit the Mode Button then start it up. It'll finish initializing while I'm getting my helmet on.

    Spyder Sightings

Saw what looked to be a White RT on Marion Ave. Ft Jackson yesterday. Only saw it from a distance heading away from me.

    Help with a major quandary

Just my take - I'd heard that the '20s had better seating too. But the wife didn't like the passenger seat/backrest. Said it felt like it was pushing her too far forward. She prefers the seat on the '14.

Comparing my 2020 RTL to my previous 2014 RTL

Huh...different strokes I guess. I'd heard that the seating was better on the '20s, but when we sat on one at the dealer, the wife didn't care for the passenger seat much - felt like the curve on the backrest was too much and pushed her forward. For me, the drivers seat felt good and...

    Starting my Spyder

I tried it on my '14 - I don't have to wait for the screen to finish booting to start up. Turn key, press mode, press start and it fires right up.

rear air-ride bag and compressor gone - is protector still avail?

No, the air line from the schrader does not reach the air bag, nor will the one from the air bag reach. I'm glad some people didn't have issues, but we had both sides the plastic removed and COULD NOT get the hose off of the air bag. Ended up getting a coupler to connect the line from the...

rear air-ride bag and compressor gone - is protector still avail?

Is it just the front Elka's that have been having issues? I have Fox shocks on the front now and was thinking to replace all three at once, but it's not necessary. I do need to replace the weak rear shock. Some have suggested M2, but I understand they're pricey.

    Epic Spyder Fails

Ok, I'll fess up. Not too long after getting the Spyder, I go out one morning and it won't start. Well dang it, what the hell? Since I don't have time to deal with it at the moment, I'll look at it when I get home. Well, didn't have time that afternoon, so I researched a bit and everyone...

Opinion on Fox Podium 1.5 front shocks

Good thing I saw this, I was just considering getting an Elka for the rear. The PO of my '14 put the Fox shocks on the front and yes, they're adjustable. Since I don't have anything to compare them to I can't say if they're better/worse than anything else, but they look like they've been on...

rear air-ride bag and compressor gone - is protector still avail?

You say you never adjusted the air, but the system did it for you. larryd found that the system was constantly adjusting over bumps and such so he went with a manual system. It's annoying to me that BRP didn't think far enough ahead to realize that a leak in the system would cause the...
