• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

That drink holder is attached to the left handlebar. I have a drink to go attached to the passenger handrail. I can easily reach my drink or Pebbles will hand it to me.

    Heel-Toe Shifter is Installed

The one I got from Value Accessories is a very easy install, but it didnt line up auite right on Cocaine. It might line up correctly on yours. I do know that when my foot is completely healed, the shifter will probably come off. I prefer it the old fashioned way. EDIT: Gary, your signature...

    998 to 1330?

I had a 2012RT and moved to a 2015RT last year. I always thought the 998's had plenty of power, but the reduced maintenance schedules, better handling and a few more perks made the move pay off for me.

Cool. I zip tied my cane across the passenger seat but that wont work when Pebbles is on it. Where did you get it?

    Paddle cllip holder for cane

Foot is doing fine. My Mom, not so much. She is a fighter, just not sure how much is left in her. It has been a rough 3 months for her.

    Paddle cllip holder for cane

My mom is in the hospital and I rode up there today and had to figure out what to do to bring my cane with me. So I laid it across the passenger seat and zip tied the handle to the passenger hand grip. One tie and it worked perfectly.

    Heel-Toe Shifter is Installed

Bob, I watched your video of the installation of Inspector Gadgets shifter, which is how I got the idea of installing it the way I did. Guess I should have bought that shifter but the Rivco one I got was supposed to be an easier install. It was but it just didnt line up like it should have.

    Heel-Toe Shifter is Installed

Funny thing about my foot problems is that I am not diabetic. Kidneys failed, toe amputated, typical diabetic stuff but I am not diabetic. Very thankfull for that because the problems associated with diabetes are numerous and painfull. Good luck with your issues. 👍

    Heel-Toe Shifter is Installed

Of course you can call me Bam, Bob. I went on a 93 mile ride today, and at one point hit 115 on the speedo. My cartoon foot is a little swollen after that and it did take some time getting used to the HT shifter. I also passed, barely, 12,000 miles on Cocaine today. Did that in 11 1/2 months...

    New Rider and Purchase

Read the Do's and Dont's post to get a ton of good information on how these machines work. It doesnt take too long to get used to them, and when you start feeling comfortable they are a blast. Welcome to the club.

    Heel-Toe Shifter is Installed

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Looking forward to getting it painted. Supposed to be around 70 tomorrow so I think I will ride Cocaine to my surgeon and give the HT shifter a little bit of a workout. Hopefully my cartoon foot (only 4 toes) will do good with it.

    Reliability on the 2016 Spyders

Here is a link to my video of me running the Dragon last year. Pull up the description of the video and it tells about general speeds and such. The last 5 minutes of the video feature the tighter turns as I approach the NC border. https://youtu.be/YvzLErHVak8

    Heel-Toe Shifter is Installed

Got the heel-toe shifter from Value Accessories yesterday, and of course went right out to install it. Came upon a couple of problems. First, when I first put it on, the heel portion of the shifter was scraping against the inside panel. So I took a hammer to it to put enough of a bend in it so...
