• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Quick question on tax (fed & state) filing programs...

I'm a Turbotax fan as well. I've been using their Premier version for years largely because of the investments features and have been well served year after year.

    Wrong Road!

Whoa, shades of Wrong Way Corrigan, one of our memorable early aviators.

    Wrong Road!

The wrong road just means it's not the one you expected to be on. Often the wrong road becomes the right road because it can lead to fascinating places not visited before. Then again, it could also to an abrupt and unpleasant end. That happened once long ago in Oregon while riding disused...

Replacing Horn for 2011 Spyder RT-S

I replaced the stock horn on my wife's 2012 RTS while I had the front trunk removed to replace the headlights and fog lights with LED lamps. The stock horn is located on the lower left side of the trunk and requires the removal of a plastic cover held in place with three or four screws (it's...

    Helmet Communication System Options?

I second this. Dave has been an excellent, and very helpful, source in our opinions. In the spirit of full disclosure, we're Sena fans.

Enjoying Ryker in Ontario... in December!

Eighty degrees here in San Antonio (Texas) today. Pretty normal, but it doesn't feel like Christmas..

Saw this on a Facebook posting

No. Apparently, the passenger has to have some freedom of movement to be able to turn around and tell the driver what to do to keep them on the road. Especially if the passenger is "plus size." Just a theory.

There is a pristine example in the National Automobile Museum in Reno, Nevada. Beautiful machine.

Riding season over .... Skiing begins

No snow down here in San Antonio just yet. Last year we did have some seriously cold weather (for this area) and enough snow to bring the city to a grinding halt. Our Fiat Abarth stood shivering in the driveway for several days as you can see. Today we had plenty of sun and pleasant mid-70s...

Ryker 900 exhausts - which one do you think is the quietest?

I had a Two Brothers exhaust (carbon muffler) on a Kawasaki Versys 650 and found it to be very loud - like getting-a-headache loud after half an hour or so of riding. It didn't improve performance despite what some "seat-of-the-pants" dyno reports insist. The net result was just an increase in...

    Happy Thanksgiving 2021

And a Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. Pecan pie is a "must' in Texas, or so I'm told by my wife.

Coyote Power Sports near Boerne I'm told offers that service. Haven't seen the need for it yet.

Anyone tried an RLS a/mkt exhaust on a 2020+ RT Ltd?

Ah Peter I meant it must be a bad thing for someone who wants to buy a system right now. Beyond that I wasn't bearing anything in mind (ask my wife!)

Anyone tried an RLS a/mkt exhaust on a 2020+ RT Ltd?

Interestingly enough, the RLS website shows every single Spyder exhaust system "Sold Out." That's can't be a good thing, can it?

How to get a Garmin Zumo XT speaking through the speakers on a Spyder RT 2020+?

Lamonster Garage offers a small Bluetooth audio receiver ($24.95), and has a video as well titled "BRP Connect and Bluetooth Zumo XT," that he uses to pipe sound from his Garmin XT to the Spyder speakers. I've used his Bluetooth audio receiver to pipe music from my phone to the Spyder speakers...

    Need Help with Frunk Removal??

Agreed. It's the video I used when replacing the head and fog lamps on my 2015 RT-S. Take your time, observe carefully where cables connect, and the routing of those you disconnect. You will have to raise the front off the ground. I used car ramps and they gave me sufficient room to remove...

What Analog gauge replacements did you use?

I installed a voltmeter on the right side and a dual USB port on the left side on my 2015 RT-S. Here's a link to the black blanking plate I used to install the USB port. https://www.rallysportdirect.com/part/pods/prs-ps-52blnk-prosport-gauge-blank-black-52mm. 52 mm is notionally the...
