• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Trailer for Mobility Scooter

M.S. has made my left leg just a little better than useless. I can hobble for a short distance, but it's a real challenge. A mobility scooter has really opened things up for me, but I can't take it with me on my 2014 RT. I'm thinking a small flat-bed trailer would be perfect. Anyone here...

    2015 RT very hot

Wow! I bet that was a mess - but at least it was a tasty mess.

    Lenny"s garage

Very cool collection and a very cool guy.

    light weight full cover

I have the BRP Travel cover that covers the windshield and everything behind it. Form-fitting, works well and has a built-in pouch. I also have a "Sun Shade" from Spyder Sisters. It covers from the instrument cluster on back - very light weight and very easy to put on and take off. It also...

    Warming Up

I generally just start it up, let it run for maybe 10-20 seconds to circulate the oil, then head out and ride it like I normally do.

    F-4 windshield

Even in the lowest position, the top edge of my stock shield was right in my line of vision - I couldn't look over it. I got the F4 vented, tinted sport windshield for my 2014 RTL at Spyderfest. I am very happy with it. I get a little more air than I did with the larger stock shield, but...

    world's fastest....

I'm sure it's fake - it's video with CGI enhancement like a lot of Japanese advertising. It is very clever though.

    new owner with riding issues

When I taught people how to ride as an MSF Rider Coach, I always told them to get several hundred miles of experience before taking on a passenger. I think the same applies to the Spyder, although I'm sure there are many people who have done just fine starting with a passenger right away. But...

    Which 990 Spyder?

 Thanks for the correction, Billy. I appreciate the information. Hopefully the first part of my explanation is still reasonably helpful to some.

    Which 990 Spyder?

I think the phrase originated in the aviation industry. Some airplanes "fly by wire". In the old fashioned airplanes, cars, motorcycles, etc., cables attach directly to the items being controlled. For example, when you pulled back on the stick (or wheel) in the cockpit of an airplane, a cable...

My Review of Ride Now in Chandler, Arizona

:agree: The service department at my dealer was alright, but problematic enough that I was thinking about ryding 50 miles or more to other dealerships. Then they hired an amazing new service tech. This guy not only does excellent work, he also seems to have inspired the entire department to...

    Dumb Question

A neurological problem recently prevents me from shifting with my left foot. As an almost 6 decade motorcycle rider, I thought I would really miss the manual transmission, but I don't miss it at all. The semi-auto paddle shifter is great! I can upshift with a touch of my thumb at the points I...

Windshield for RT: Calsci vs F4?

I put a CalSci on one of my Beemers and loved it. I was very happy with both the windshield and the company. I put an F4 on my RTL and love it. I am very happy with the windshield and the company. So I think you will do fine whichever way you go. One thing I really like about the F4 is...

    Belt vibrations

With my 2014 RTL, it happens at around 70-72 mph but clears out at 75. I just got back from an 800 mile trip and frankly, I consider it a not issue. Even when it's there it isn't a big deal, but in any case I can change my speed a little and it goes away.

    who would you pick

I had not heard this before. Wow! I don't know if it was the Doors or session musicians, but the band was incredibly tight. Well done. Thanks.

Frumping wrong with Frunk latch Mechanism

:agree: This has happened to me a couple of times - when I took something out of the frunk, it apparently caught on the gasket and pulled it slightly askew, interfering with latching properly. Once I saw what the problem was, it took about 5 seconds to fix it.
