• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My ride today on my 2014 RTL

I'm guessing over 40 also. I love the extra miles on the 1330. On my 2010 RT I usually filled up at about 150 now it's no problem hitting 200.

    BRP Sat Radio ?

I call just prior to my renewal and let them know I'm going to cancel. Within 5 minutes they offer me 5 months for about $30. I've done this several times. I set an event on my phone's calendar to warn me when the renewal is due.

Spyder accident in Penn Yan NY Routes 14A and 54

I came across a white RT in Savannah NY a week ago returning home from a ride with friends from Syracuse. They were too far ahead and turned off before I could catch up. I wonder if that is the same one. Wishing them a speedy recovery.

    New '14 owner

I also moved from a 2010 Rt to a 2014 Rt. The smoothness of the 1330 with the ability to run at lower RPMs make a HUGH difference. Simply put, it's just more pleasurable to ride.

    Brake Failure Warning

If you rest your foot on the brake pedal long enough while riding you will get a warning. Are you sure this is not the case?

    Parking break issue

Do not trust your parking brake! Double check to make sure it is engaged. I checked mine after this accident. Perhaps 1 time in 20 it would not fully engage. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?56747-Accident

    Airhawk R vs. Medium Cruiser

Here is the "R". It fits perfectly and is comfortable. It has an additional benefit on the two really hot sunny days we typically get in upstate NY. I store it in the truck while I'm parked. It provides relief from the hot Spyder seat when I resume riding.

    Lost inside wheel cap cover

I just removed mine. They were loose and came off with very little effort. I'm surprised they were still there. I'll deal with it tomorrow after a trip to the hardware store to get some silicone sealer.

    Optional Electronic "Frunk" Switch

On my 2010 RT I would frequently forget to use the frunk switch before I turned the engine off. Therefor my choices were to restart the engine or use the key. I would always use the key, so in my case the lack of the frunk switch in my 2014 RT is not an issue.

    RPM?mph

I usually shift at about 2200-2500 RPMs. It gets me between 37 and 40 MPG. I also keep it in ECO mode.

    Hard to close frunk

After my dealer put the third lid on the frunk of my 2010 RT, I learned on Spyderlovers how to adjust the latch with the two bolts on same. The dealer told me there was a problem with warped lids. It was the latch adjustment.

    Loud click on every shift

Like yours, mine shifts with a "clang" not just a click. Downshifting is accompanied by the same clang. It's far from smooth shifting. I guess I'll bring it to the dealer so they can tell me they can't find anything or they are all like that.
