• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    F3-T Heated Passenger Grips (?)

Here are some comments from a 2017 F3L owner, who rydes two-up with wifey about 80% of time. Mostly day trips, no extended touring. Back country roads, occasionally in the hills; mostly out finding a new bistro for lunch, sometimes shopping. Firstly, I read your location as Los Angeles; are you...

    Spyder Running costs???

It's just a matter of 'perspective' Operating expenses really only serve to put original capital cost outlay into a perspective of personal financial viability.... either you can or cannot afford... Life is really just a game - played by people of differing skills, abilities, financial...

Need some Sage advice - Considering moving from 2012 RT-S to 2016 RT Limited

For a bit of comparison, there's a lady near me (Central FL) with a 2017 RTL for sale with 4800 miles on it. Steel grey color; looks to be quite nice, but I do not know the bike personally. Been listed a few weeks; asking $20,500. Negotiable?? who knows...

Towing with my F3 – Questions

I have the hitch from Pierre Polliquin (Spyder Accessories) on my 2017 F3Ltd., along with the flat 4 (plug & play) wiring harness supplied by him. In fact, I had Pierre install for me - a 15 min. job with his hitch which has a bolt through the rear axle and easy connection to power (under rear...

-28 work is closed and no ryding today

Having been born and raised in Canada, I understand those temps - - and your pain!. So, when I bought my Spyder, I chose the 'migratory' version; one that could head south in the fall, like the birds. Six weeks before I even paid for the F3L, I bought a trailer to haul it with.

Dimensions of Spyder F3 Limited versus Spyder RT Limited

side view of my stock 2017 F3L; my eyes tell me the top case overhangs by several inches, even with no additional extension. Your eyes (or BRP stats) may have a different opinion.....112" overall length for F3L with topcase seems right. Not sure about overall length of RTL.

Question about short reach bars for F3 Limited

All I know is that 1-3/4" risers would have worked on my 2017 F3L, except for fact that they would not clear the additional bracket mount BRP uses for centrally mounted GPS. I personally tried to fit them. If I didn't have GPS, or had a Ram mount on bars, the 1-3/4" risers would have fit, and...

Question about short reach bars for F3 Limited

There is even a Rox riser in the 1-3/4" length that pivots, so you can rotate bars up or down as well as bring them closer. https://www.revzilla.com/search?_utf8=%E2%9C%93&query=Rox+risers+1-3%2F4%22+x+1%22

    Good Enclosed Trailer for RT

I currently haul with a light weight, all aluminum, open trailer. I appreciate why some folks prefer closed trailers (security, protection from bad weather), and also use them for storage (greater usage beyond hauling). For me, hauling my Spyder usually occurs only a few times a year - long...

    Could this really happen?

At the risk of re-entering the debate over this fairy tale of the 'runaway Spyder', some points certainly go unanswered/unexplained: IF, as might be possible, the dad simply left the Spyder running, unattended, in gear, with parking brake on, and left the scene even momentarily (an action...

    Child swipes F3

With nearly 8 decades of misspent life behind me, I have concluded that nothing is "impossible" any more; however, lots of things are highly improbable - - a 3-year old starting up and/or taking off on an F3 Spyder alone, all by herself, is one of them. We can all conjure up our own speculative...

    Child swipes F3

Watched that video several times. A lot of things just don't add up.... how does a 3-year old start an F3 by herself? Starting process requires 4 separate steps using thumbs of both hands in proper sequence. Did the little kid learn that? or was the Spyder already running when she climbed on, or...

    Spyder F3 Limited Seat change

My experience, when changing the seat on my 2017 F3L from stock to Ultimate (mid-size), is that the Ultimate driver seat is now about 3/4" higher than stock, and the Ultimate passenger seat is now about 1-1/2" lower than stock. Both seat areas are quite comfortable on the Ultimate; the change...

    Can-Am OEM Trailering Cover

I can answer your question exactly from personal experience using the BRP 'trailering' cover while hauling my 2017 F3L from Florida back to Ontario (about 1400 miles) last April, on an open trailer, as well as using it to protect my Spyder when stored outside, both in Ontario as well as in...

Two great days of ryding in VA/TN/NC ... hoping for more

couple more pics two more shots along the BRP just before entering the foggy side of the mountain: Look closely at the one which at first seems only to be brush along the roadside. Middle of the pic, about 1/3 the way up from the bottom. Looks like just more twigs? It's really a thin ribbon...

Two great days of ryding in VA/TN/NC ... hoping for more

there was a 3rd day... I'm over a week late with this, but thought I'd add it on. I had a third day of riding in NC before arriving in FL. Left Banner Elk on the morning of 1 Nov; went west into TN and picked up I-26 at Unicoi. What a great bit of road engineering in the mountains! At this...

    Keeping spder under cover outside

Depends on your usage I think the answer really depends upon the type/length of non-riding situation you foresee for your Spyder. Since you live in Georgia, I assume you're likely to be riding it most of the year, and not really thinking of winter storage, per se. If you are going to lay the...

Two great days of ryding in VA/TN/NC ... hoping for more

The RAM is a brand new 1500 Hemi V-8; I'm just breaking it in, only has 3000 km on it, so not expecting very great gas mileage just yet. Seem to be averaging around 16 L per 100 km at moment while hauling and less when not. But that is while travelling Interstate speeds, not wasting any time...
