• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Aftermarket to the Rescue I think for many the aftermarket alternatives might turn out to be better choices. The saddlebags are a good example. You can get bigger and possibly better ones from aftermarket makers and vendors. Same thing for the windshields. If you're over 5 feet tall you'll...

    argh! flat tire :(

Good Thing That you weren't stranded out in the boonies or worse, luckily the tire deflated later back in civilization. I don't imagine a car tire would have done any better with a hit to the sidewall like that.

    Ohio bike week

That's the Harley Dealer That's the address for Mad River Harley Davidson. He won't allow any Can Am demos on his premises as the Motor Company would seriously frown on that. That venue is listed as he is the primary sponsor of Ohio Bike Week. The Can Am demo truck has to be somewhere else...

    Gas Mileage

My Last 3 Motorcycles My last three bikes were in the big category. The 2007 Yamaha Roadliner "S" had the 1858cc air-cooled V-twin and no overdrive. We rode it to Washington D.C. in 2010 for Rolling Thunder and that motor was busy at Interstate speeds getting 41mpg average. My next bike was...

    Madstad vs F4

No Harm-No Foul It's difficult to tell on a forum just what the other person is getting at. I would think at 5'0" tall the Blue Ridge will come pretty close. I'm thinking it can be raised at the back end to tilt it up a bit using steel strap bolted to the instrument supports and to the...

Demo Rides I didn't see anything on their website about Can AM or demo rides for that matter. What will be the venue for the Can Am demos, the fairgrounds maybe??

    MRA X-Creen

Windshield Extenders That's one, another is Laminar Lip. Both extend the height above the stock windscreen. Another intriguing option is to fabricate those riser straps out of 1/8" thick steel strap and raise the rear of the Blue Ridge at the bottom 3 to 4 inches. If someone was tall enough...

    Madstad vs F4

Choices Of course they're not from BRP, that's the whole point of investigating the aftermarket alternatives. Generally the aftermarket stuff is cheaper but in this case we're looking for a more effective windshield for us taller folks who don't want wind blasted in the face.

    F3 gauge spoiler modification

Where in Ohio I'm from Fostoria near Findlay in the Northwest part of the State. Seeing your mod I now wonder if the same technique could be applied to the other BRP windshields for the F3. Particularly the Blue Ridge as raising the rear would increase the height very cheaply. The steeper...

Yet another windshield thread for F3

As for Now It looks like Mastad is clearly in the lead getting their F3 windshield to market first. By the responses it looks like several have already had their products and like them. Other makers aren't far behind and it will be interesting to see what designs/solutions they come up with...

Another Reply This one was from CalSci: Calsci Sales 3:56 PM (7 minutes ago) to me Hi Denny, We're considering doing something for the F3. Our current shields won't work. There's a requirement for a mounting system with metal brackets. Mark

sold the GS, bought the F3

My Demo Ride On Monday, March 16th I got to demo ride the F3. In this case it was an F3-S SM6 in the Magnesium/Black two tone paint with Orange frame. The engine felt stronger mostly due to the reduced weight and the handling was superior to the 2014 RT I demoed last year. The lower center...
